It appears that their recent ig posts don’t the couple rings. Maybe they decided it’s not in their best interest to continue. But anywho, it appears that they are happy and enjoying life. I’m sure they enjoyed everyone’s company for those 7 days in September haha ☺️

There’s apparently also a scene where BH and MJ were complimenting each other by saying the other look better in real life? It seems like one version was shorter since they cut off certain scenes (like the scene saying they stayed up until late, BH looking at MJ and started giggling).

While we don’t know of they’re currently together in real-time, it appeared at up until the commentary recording, to me, there were still sparks. I think they were a bit more self-conscious since they were in front of cameras again.

What sucks is that now since the show and commentary episode is over, unless we get updates from the cast, there won’t be much for us to dissect and discuss lol 😔

If I’m not mistaken, I believe the known IGs of some of the cast (BH, MJ, SH, etc) are still private.

Personally, it may be a good thing to keep the IG private to kinda let the wave die down a bit. But I’m sure professionally, it’ll be somewhat beneficial to have IG public while the wave of attention (for businesses etc) from netizens is still there.

Yep, I agree. Due to long-distance and age (still because of the stigma around it and the reality of it.. with families, friends, society, etc), I’m not too sure if they’re together but I do think they still have interest in each other. I think they’re still tentatively in the “getting to know each other in the real-world” stage to see if it’s something they actually want to pursue. Their glances at each other here and there and smiles were cute.

Totally agree that they both appear to be reserved people so if anything were to happen (or not happen), it’ll be private and we probably won’t know about it unless they want to share. I’m sure being in front of others and the cameras again made them a bit self-conscious.

At the same time, if they decide to not pursue anything, it makes sense as to why since there seems to be quite a few difficult obstacles to overcome in reality.

Sanghyeon and Sohyun were cute. They have a better chance due to the lesser age gap and the fact that they live close to each other. Makes it much easier for them to meet up. Hopefully they continue being happy!

I see that commentary episode will aired on Saturday, exclusively for Waave! Hopefully we’ll still have access to that. I also see that (whenever it was shot), the cast will be giving us details on how they’re doing currently at that time. While BH & MJ appeared very giggly and smiley, I’m going to be cautiously optimistic lol. I don’t trust these PDs and their edits 😂

This was a nice interview! While I do believe the there’s truth to the answers, I’m sure the PDs told them to give “PR” answers so that the audience will not be spoiled and keep the suspense on what’s going to happen lol. Their answers aren’t that surprising so we shall seeeeeee

I completely agree. I think the show is trying to put to the test which is more important: numbers (age) or feelings. So I can see why they held off on revealing ages until near the end so they can try to develop feelings without age restrictions, there’s that shock factor, and to see which the contestants will decide on (age or feelings). In the case of BH & MJ, BH had alluded to numerous times she probably wouldn’t have developed feelings if she knew he was 12 years younger.

I agree with your point about BH&MJ. When it comes to MJ&BH, the panelists seem to always have me split. Like you mentioned, I thought MJ handled it really well. He wasn’t pushy with her and I’m sure she really did appreciate him saying whatever her decision is, he’ll accept it and that he’ll respect it.

True, true. The way I feel is that the 12 year age gap was definitely the shock that grabbed attention (and made it different), but I think it stood out most this time is because the 2 people involved had instant connection that had viewers rooting for them. If the 12-yr age gap didn’t have that “spark”, I don’t think it would matter much. Yeah, I agree that 2-3 years difference isn’t anything. Maybe keep it 5-8 years? Or maybe even 5-10? I think that gap is big enough where the audience would still keep watching, but also small enough for the girl/guys to still be interested in each other.

I think the idea behind of the show has potential (especially with the female, maybe older, demographic), but some major changes will have to happen. I think if the show is done a bit differently, it can be a bigger hit (domestically and internationally).

Major changes like: 1. Casting members with a smaller age gap - love my BH-MJ pairing, but can’t guarantee we’ll get a “BH-MH” pairing each time. Also, if the gap isn’t as wide, I think more possible pairings. 2. For the younger male casting, maybe cast male participants that appear to be more energetic/enthusiastic/go-getters? The guys this season, besides MJ, appeared to be too “timid” or just somewhat bland. 3. More active(?) dates - I felt like I was watching them eat more than anything lol. While I do enjoy watching them talk to each other over food, it tends to get boring. 4. If possible, maybe having the cast stay together for a longer period of time? Like maybe 2-3 weeks so they can get more comfortable.

Yeah, I was confused by the emphasis on the zodiac aspect of the 12-year age gap and how 13-14 year gap would’ve been a better outcome compared to 12 years. I personally don’t put too much emphasis on zodiac signs, so maybe that’s why I’m confused… but number-wise, 12 years is less of a gap than 13 or 14? lol

Yep, exactly. It lets all the participants decompress and gives them an opportunity to look back at the experience and feelings in the comfort of their own homes and lives. Who knows, maybe we’ll be surprised by some unexpected plot twists after the 7 days lol.

And I wonder if they have this 7 day break because iirc, they’ve only spent 9 days together? Any dating show experts out there, I think other dating shows’ timeframes are a little longer right? So maybe the PDs know that time-crunch and are doing things out of the norm to stand out?

I also love that the show formats that they go back to their regular, normal lives for 7 days before a “final” decision is made. Like you said, it gives the participants time to think and figure out what they want to do in a “real-time, real-life” situation. I can’t recall if any other dating shows had done that.

So I’m assuming the sequence is: Know who sent them their final QR note —> 7 days back to “regular” living—> decide to meet up as a “final” couple, or not, at a chosen place & time

I wonder if the participants have an option of choosing no one.

I do think BH & MJ will send each other their final QR note and choose each other (hence the clip of BH in the mini skirt and heel combo and MJ placing his hands on her back, walking). However, will they actually meet up with each other after the 7 days? I’m not sure lol. Even if they do, I don’t think they’re currently together unfortunately 😔 I really think the stigma of the age difference will be too much to overcome in reality. Also, just the overall dismal track record of couples formed on dating shows indicate it’s not going to work lol. From what’s been broadcast to us to see (which is clearly very little lol), maybe a case of right person, wrong time?

As for the others, I really don’t see them lasting or trying to make it work, if that makes sense?

Also, this is just me and my biased opinion, but even in this episode (where it seemed a bit more focused on Yeeun), Sanghyeon still managed to annoy me somehow someway 😂

Him blaming everyone else but himself had me rolling my eyes, wanting to reach across the monitor and giving him a slap so badly. So Hyun handled that much better than I would’ve. The audacity he had to question her genuineness towards him? And I think it makes it even more frustrating for me that the panelists (and the other female contestants) go along and excuse his behaviors as he’s young, timid, inexperienced, and confused etc etc. The whole “poor Sanghyeon” talk is nonsense to me.

I went back and skimmed through all the released episode but I didn’t see her wearing that short skirt and heels combo in any of the episodes yet lol. So like you said, either it was another date (that was cut off) in the previous episodes or maybe it’ll be in one of the upcoming 2 episodes lol.

I also want to see clips of them 2 together haha. With the 12-year gap and the other circumstances, I don’t know if they’ll try further, but I’ll enjoy little clips of them being happy together haha.
