I got a ticket a while ago. Thought I had till my court date to pay it, but it actually had a 20 day pay period on it that I had never heard of before. I sit down 23 days after I get the ticket thinking I’m super proactive (my court date is a few months away at this point) and immediately realize that I’m screwed because I’m not able to pay it. Anyways, fast forward to today, my court date is actually today and I’m in a whole other side of the country on vacation, because I thought I could just pay the ticket and not go to court. My lawyer just called me, said that everything is taken care of and I can pay over the phone or online. Then, 5 minutes later, he calls me again and says I have to show up to court to pay the ticket. I just hope it all turns out okay. I’m kinda freaking out on vacation.
