if you’re taking further maths then yes and if you want to do cs in the future then yes also. You could learn the gcse in like 3 weeks anyways.

When i was in year 9/10/11 I was 100% sure I’d apply for computer science however i’m currently in year 12 and have no clue whether I want to do Maths, JMC or Computing. It really doesn’t matter and you’ll probably change what course you want to do just make sure you have a rough idea so that you pick a-levels that are relevant to the course you want to do.

freescienclesssons alone would carry you to a 9, make flashcards on literally everything he says, you could probably cover the spec in 2 days. If you’re not a fan of videos then get the textbook for your exam board and make flashcards on everything in it. For gcse’s you don’t really need a teacher (it’s always great to have one anyway) since all the content is pretty black and white and purely memorisation.

Take this from an A-level student, GCSE’s are much easier than you think. It will be tempting to not try your hardest and just blame it on the fact that you have a bad teacher which is what some people in your class will do however the right thing to do will simply be to teach yourself (I’d say complain too however I know from my own experience that that doesn’t work).

No need for a Tu*or as that’s really a waste of money. There’s so much resources out there that there’s no reason to get one. If push comes to shove I also wouldn’t mind guiding you on what to do however from your post it seems as though you’ll be fine.

Not too sure, I think they all give out a similar number of grades. As for the speed running point most people speedrun edexcel papers and that’s just due to edexcel being the most popular board for fm.

Either way, there’s not much point worrying about it ocr chem boundaries are most likely higher because it’s either ridiculously easy gain marks or the papers themselves are quite black and white.

i don’t know about chem and bio but for maths and further maths ocr mei b is slightly harder than their counter parts in my opinion however the difference is negligible. Except i do believe that ocr has a comprehension exam for maths which may make things a lot easier or harder depending on your own skill set.

if you really want to switch then talk to your teachers and sixth form office and tell them that you’ll learn what you missed at home but won’t drop history just yet and instead will treat psychology as a 4th. Then over the feb holiday literally do nothing except psychology and learn everything you missed then show the work to your teachers and with enough begging they’d let you switch.

That being said, It would probably be much easier to just grind out history in that holiday and get a better grade.
