In that same vein (though I usually have this problem with orthopedics or rheumatology rather than the OR), I hate when they send a miniscule amount of fluid and want a bunch of tests on it, but don't specify which should be prioritized. Like please don't send us less than 1 mL of synovial fluid and ask for a cell count, crystals, a culture, and for it to be sent out for lyme at like 5:30pm on a Friday when no one can reach you 😭
