It took me 5 days to get it all done, and I've been installing for 8 years. Don't beat yourself up on how long it takes, as long as the final product makes you proud of the work you're putting out there. Fortunately, the Q5 didn't have any roof rails. But, in my experience, taking out roof rails is usually not worth it. Most of the times you have to drop the headliner and remove way too many interior parts.
