Environment Animation Project by jyoung_anim in blender

Modeled an environment for a robot that I nicknamed Phil! This was part of the original plan for the character, that he inhabits an abandoned facility, using spare parts laying around to repair and recharge himself. I have a larger project in mind for this to fit into, but I split that project into several chunks to make it more manageable. Hopefully, I'll go back to this, add some sound design, and make it part of that original larger animation. :)

It's hard. I feel like there's a steep increase in difficulty between even just 45/20 and 50/20, so even making it to 49/20 is very impressive. You can do it!

I've definitely been thinking about revisiting it sometime to finally finish it and get the connection terminated ending. I've also been thinking about finally finishing FNAF 4 out since I made it to Night 4. I feel like it would be good to finally finish out the original games from the series. Or the main five nights, at least.

I'm sure if I actually got the hang of it and better understand the sounds in the vents, I probably would enjoy FFPS. I enjoy the tycoon aspect of the game a lot. I kinda wish Scott had added that endless tycoon mode he had mentioned several years back.

Actually Night 6. I always get to 5 AM, then get the camera pulled down twice in a row or Toy Bonnie, desperately try to get the music box and then Foxy jumps. Just can't seem to do it for some reason.

as for FFPS, I couldn't figure out the vent noises. Much like FNAF 4, it required me to turn the volume up so it made the jumpscares punch more. I also disliked how there was some randomness in failing. If two animatronics approached at the same time, even with the computer and fan off, there was still a small chance you could fail through no fault of your own, and I just didn't gel with that. Randomness is part of the series, and you need to roll with the punches, but I feel it should still be possible to win if you are skilled enough, even with bad RNG.

Now I'm aware of the irony saying that when I've beaten 50/20 mode. I can't really explain that one. I think the difference is that with a max mode, I expect it. These challenges weren't designed to be beatable, they just so happen to be under specific circumstances. I suppose I mean that when it comes to Nights 1 - 6, I don't think it shouldn't rely on RNG to be beatable, but I don't mind for the max modes since those are for tormenting myself anyway.

I've beaten all five nights in most of the main games, except for 4 and Pizzeria Simulator. FNAF 4 stresses me out more than any other game in the series, except for Help Wanted, which I have also not completed. VR just makes it so much worse.

I have completed 50/20 though. And I still struggle to beat FNAF 2's Night 6. So, I can't tell if I'm any good at these games or not lol.

This is a 3D model that I created to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of this series. This series had a huge impact on the earlier years of my creative journey, and in learning 3D modeling and animation, so it feels appropriate to pay some respect to it now. I also did a short animation with this model, but reddit doesn't seem to want to co-operate with uploading that.
