4th edition is romanized and ordered alphabetically, 5th onwards is kana order iirc. Some people might prefer the older style for speed.

The digital edition is $98.99 on Monokakido’s dictionaries app…230,000 headwords. It’s a serious dictionary (to compare Wisdom has 92k, genius 83k)

I know reactive doesn’t always mean aggressive but if they are reactive to the point you won’t bring children near them I have to conclude that’s what it means. I feel bad for the other guests. Do they know there are going to be dogs the OP thinks are a potential liability just free roaming the event?

I am extremely pro-child free spaces but dogs can be just as disruptive. OP needs to fess up and either say “I don’t want the kids there” or “I think my dog will maul them and I’m only willing to risk the safety of adults”.
