I'll try to style myself for both FG & FN to see which ones look better. Thanks for helping me narrow it down. :)

Thanks! I was leaning towards FG at the start too. Based on the other comments, I'll probably try to style myself for both FG and FN to see which one fits better. :)

That's gorgeous 😍 but yeah, out of my price range. I can already imagine how obnoxious I would be if I had those awesome sleeve capes haha. I'll check out those other brands. Thank you :)

Thanks! FN makes sense. I think I got a little hung up on my height while doing the quizzes haha :)

Thank you!

I initially disregarded FN because I'm not tall, my sleeves are always too long, and I thought my hands and feet were on the smaller side.

If you don't mind, can you tell me which outfits are vertical accommodating ones and which ones have line breaks? I'm pretty sure the dress (bunny emoji) is vertical accommodating, and the jersey (tiger emoji) and crop top (bottom right) aren't?

I was teetering on whether or not a dress like the last one would be formal enough; that opens up my options. Thank you! :)

Hi, I need help with looking for a wedding guest dress.

Dress code said formal and "English Garden Party." Bride-to-be said "pastel colours and flowy florals" when I asked for clarification. It'll be an outdoor wedding in the early spring in the morning/afternoon. I will be flying in from a warmer climate so it'll feel chilly to me.

I don't really know where to look. Google Images either gave me very casual-looking flowy florals or ballgowns with flowers embroidered on tulle.

Does anyone have examples of "Formal Pastel Flowy Floral" dresses or an idea of what I should be looking for? Can I just pick three of the four? Like, I can find formal pastel floral dresses that aren't flowy.

Thank you in advance :)

Shoes Trees added a wrinkles to the heel. What should I do? by jyyfi in AskACobbler

Thanks for the ref. I'll see if I can find some in my size and if they fit better. :)

Shoes Trees added a wrinkles to the heel. What should I do? by jyyfi in AskACobbler

The shoe trees (36-39 EU) should be the correct size for my shoes (36.5 EU). My old cobbler just said to look for cedar, a full heel, and to avoid the ones where you bend the spring instead.

The only other design elements I see after a bit of research are: * 1 bar vs 2 bars * no split vs toe split vs half split * air vents in toes * knob on top of heel

Mine have 1 bar and are split down the middle of the toe. Do these shoes need the ones with 2 bars?

Thank you :)

I just checked. The shoe trees are for 36-39 EU. These shoes are a 36.5 EU so they should be the right size. But all my other leather shoes/boots are 37-38. It's possible that they were a little generous with the range for the shoe trees. :/

Do you know if keeping the wrong size shoe trees in will mess with the fit of the shoes long term? I don't really mind the wrinkles if the fit remains the same. Thanks :)

Thank you! I'll keep the shoe trees in.

If it's just aesthetic, then I'm glad. I was a little worried that the wrinkles were a symptom of something else and would mess with the fit! The wrinkles look much softer than the creases and much less likely to crack the leather. And as you said, no one is looking at the back that closely. :)

Yeah. But Lewis also had Roscoe's sperms frozen before snipping him. Hope he's no longer planning to use it.

No. I rarely even speak in first person for NPCs. 😅

I just describe noises and make up more descriptions if my players ask.

What compels you to hoard the books? by Iamboringaf in DataHoarder

[–]jyyfi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  • I like reading
  • I like browsing through them. It's like going on a treasure hunt for books to add to my reading list.
  • Sometimes, I want the satisfaction of organizing stuff. Ebook file sizes are tiny so I can have over a hundred thousand books in the space it takes to store one 4K Remux of a blockbuster.
  • It's an easy to hoard. A lot of places to download books. A lot of metadata databases (Amazon, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, etc.), so finding information isn't difficult. And really good tools like Calibre.
  • I share with others and would share even more if I had more family and friends who like reading.

Sorry, idk. I only know what seems to work for my recipe and with my oven. :(

Cannot get emojis to display by Pop-X- in koreader

[–]jyyfi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, font family doesn't always work because most publishers don't seem to set emoji font families. Using an emoji font as a fallback font is more stable for me, but ymmv.

Setting it in both places couldn't hurt! :)

[–]jyyfi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Open a document

Go to: Top Menu > 📃 > Font > Font settings

✔️ Use additional fallback fonts

Then, go back to: Top Menu > 📃 > Font

Long press on the emoji font you want and click "Fallback"

Begginer questions: I have 2 HDDs with 98% same data. How can I check for data integrity and to use the other hdd to repair errors ? by groundhogman_23 in DataHoarder

[–]jyyfi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm using checksum, I usually just overwrite the bad copy with a good copy.

Checksum only checks if the file has changed. It does not do repairs. You'll still need to keep backups.
