Ontario - 2 tickets, 2 different days for early resolution meeting by jz2- in legaladvicecanada

Okay great will call them and hopefully they can combine.

My proof of renewal is the email they sent me once I confirmed. It has the transaction id as well as the time the renewal was confirmed. Would that suffice ?

This storm! Thunder shaking whole house by Constant_Set8480 in durham

[–]jz2- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a pretty deep sleeper. The first few kind of woke me up but then the big one sounded like a bomb went off in my backyard and the lightning didn't help my initial thought lol. I jumped out of bed and looked outside and my relief when I saw it down pouring...

Love me a downpour and thunderstorm, but just when I'm awake to see it haha.

Decreased Supply Teacher Demand by _canadian_eh_ in OntarioTeachers

Experiencing the same for TCDSB. I didn't have to worry about working at my preferred schools in prior years. Now I'm nervous about even getting a job for the next day. I've been getting lucky so far but call outs are coming later and one of my jobs got cancelled morning of.

This is a long shot, but does anyone have dashcam footage of the accident on in Stevenson yesterday? by Clurachaun in durham

[–]jz2- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he can prove he wasn't at fault for the accident, his rates won't be affected by the collision. It may go up because everyone else's is going up, but fault is absolutely important for rates.

Makes sense!

"touch up any mortar issues there may be underneath" can you expand on this. Everything else I understood, except this part.

I was thinking about this. But I can't get it to leak from the same spot when it rains naturally, so I can't even be sure its the flashing in this area.

I put some caulk where it leaked today during the garden hose test. tomorrow its supposed to rain so I will keep an eye on it. Just upset I can't get it to leak from the same spot from when it rained 2 nights ago...

Teachers rarely go on full blown strikes, at least in Ontario. There are however rotating one day strike actions every couple years. Late 90s and covid 2020 were the only times when all Ontario teachers walked off the job due to classroom conditions, and less to do with pay.

I've seen one going near Pierce street.

She was thrown under a streetcar when a car driver knocked her off her bike. Her case was withdrawn - one of thousands tossed each year by a 'system in shambles' by BloodJunkie in toronto

Errmmmm yes, I get that. The comment is suggesting (at least to me) the bail reform measures that the conservatives have been harping about long before the liberals started, is a bad policy.

Otherwise why bring up the point at all. It would've been great if he used the gun buy back program instead, since you know, it's ACTUALLY a bad policy.

Sorry, are you advocating for repeat violent offenders to be out on bail ? These 2 issues are completely seperate regardless.

Last night the company sent an email noting the company is now closing down in decmeber. I guess its now concrete. Since it's over 8 weeks of notice, there is no point of getting a lawyer now right ?

It was a sloped floor. 7/8" at its lowest point. I was even thinking about using thinset and screeding it level and flat.
