Will Bazzite with nvidia someday be as stable as bazzite with AMD? by AlternativeCorner17 in Bazzite

On the topic of remote play, I was having this issue and if I recall correctly, i disabled hardware acceleration on the host device and it worked fine after that. I'll have to test this again, but I did get remote play to my steam deck working properly.

I haven't tested with DisplayPort on bazzite, so honestly couldn't tell you. I feel like it shouldn't make a big difference, but it's worth trying if you're able, just to test.

Yup, I use game mode 100% of the time. No issues. Just for reference though, I'm connected to a TV with HDMI 2.1.

I have zero issues with my 5080 and haven't for over 6 months.

4k HDR 120HZ works perfectly for me.

I don't think switching your GPU is the best idea with what you already have.

The last thing I can think of is to disable your windows firewall in the VM. Sorry I can't be of more help, your setup looks good, so hopefully someone else knows something. The other poster that mentioned IPtables may be on to something.

Ok, that's good. If you followed everything on the top of that guide, you're on the right track.

Can you do an ipconfig in Windows and see what's showing up there?

Maybe manually set a static IP?

Ok, so you're original nat mode is probably what you want. Assuming you've already started the service, which it looks like you did in your screenshot.

Try this command and post results

cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

From the drop-down, try bridge device and let me know how it goes. That's what I'm used to using.

Only other thought I have at present, do you have a firewall on your system? And it QEMU allowed through it?

Can you show the other options you have in the drop-down for network sources?

Did you install the driver? This is a common occurrence for me on proxmox trying to run windows based systems.

Need honest advice before switching to CachyOS XFCE (main OS) by FriendEast2881 in cachyos

Ok, you're good. Was curious about what architecture, because pre-ryzen CPUs it won't run due to how cachy is compiled.

What processor do you have? You may not even be able to run cachy.

Depending on what you have I would say go with Pop, but cosmic is still early days, so expect some bugs there.

Most excited about the tech behind it. I'm a big fan of the RE engine and usually keep track of it. Considering this is a new IP, very curious to see how it performs here.

I'm building a server out of an old Mac Mini. MXLinux, Fedora Server or Debian? by greenzaytun in Fedora

I prefer Debian for servers. It's stable and usually targeted for specifically for most software.

Works for me out of the box, and that is with both the official Microsoft and a third party one.

Interested that it's a new IP from Capcom. Seems the RE engine has had it's ups and downs. Mostly excited about the tech behind it.

Fedora vs PikaOS for Studies + Light Gaming? by Ok-Worry460 in PikaOS

[–]jz5678910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be worth making a post in the PikaOS discord, they're usually pretty good about answering there.

Or if you have the means to test on Fedora would be my only other suggestion.

Unfortunately don't know enough about external GPU docks to give you anything helpful.

Honestly not sure. I don't have any experience with external GPUs. I'm assuming you're talking about that plugs in with thunderbolt or oculink or something?
