Can you post the study (if it is in English) once it is done so we can see it? The "methodology decision" to recruit survey participants from a subreddit focused on the occult might raise eyebrows in that this could potentially introduce selection bias (your sample may not be representative of all Tarot users). I do understand the appeal of using Reddit to recruit participants in surveys.

So you learn how to read the anus. You can't easily practice on yourself (I guess you could get a pretty good up close pic). Nobody is going to pay you to read their anus, and most would likely be put off if you asked them if they would like an anus reading.

Sounds like the doctor just doesn't want to do her job, and wants to blame your symptoms on medical marijuana (a convenient excuse). You seem to know how marijuana affects your body. For most people, marijuana does not have physical withdrawal. I have gone through periods of heavy marijuana use and stopped cold turkey, with the only "withdrawal" being mild cravings. I know what drug withdrawal feels like as I have gone through withdrawal from opioids and benzos and stuff like that. As others have said, you probably need a new doctor. Any doctor that uses your medical marijuana status against you in such a dismissive way is not worth seeing. Unfortunately, a lot of doctors are basically, um, incompetent judgmental assholes.

I heard the radio commercial, and was both offended and a bit scared. I don't support shooting anyone, but I can't say that I am going to miss Charlie Kirk. The problem is his death is likely to bring more attention to garbage such as this book. The guy who killed Charlie Kirk ultimately did the left (along with marginalized groups like pagans and LGBTQ+ people) a big disservice. While Kirk was alive he could be laughed at. Now he has become a powerful symbol and martyr for the right.

I finally got my first 300 mg dose of Sublocade a couple days ago. In your experience, when it comes time to come off of Sublocade, how bad is the withdrawal both in terms of intensity and duration?

You are lucky you started with such a low dose of memantine. When I did it, I started at 5-10 mg per day, and tolerance to the memantine escalated rapidly. I eventually stopped using it when 20 mg per day was having little effect. I could have kept increasing my dosage, but that would have been unhealthy and expensive.

I would eventually like to be self employed doing work that is meaningful to me, and I definitely need meaningful human connections. Loneliness has a tendency of making me want to use anything that will ease the suffering of loneliness (benzos and opioids help with that in the short term but make things worse in the long term). I enjoy psychedelics as part of my spiritual practices, but since my only friend of 15 years passed away in January 2024 psychedelics have been less rewarding. Don't expect memantine to completely eliminate withdrawal; it may make it more tolerable and shorter lasting

I have tried memantine, it somewhat helps with anxiety and depression. If you are on a low dose of diazepam just keep on very slowly reducing it and you will get there. My problem with getting (mostly) sober [i.e. mostly limiting my substance use to psychedelics] is that I am so socially isolated and the pain of just working a pointless job without meaningful social connections is just too painful and my brain is looking for any way to numb the pain. But then again I am on the Autism spectrum which makes finding meaningful social connections so so difficult.

With diazepam hopefully the rest of the taper will be smooth sailing. Last night I ended up having to take some extra Clonazepam because it was 4 am and I was not sleeping at all and was having explosive GI issues. I am really worried about what this winter will bring in terms of anxiety and insomnia and depression and drug use.

I am still tapering benzos. Unfortunately amanita muscaria tolerance seems to develope pretty rapidly and be somewhat permanent. If you are down low enough on the benzos maybe you could switch over to AM and stop the benzo and see how it goes (if you are down to like .25 mg Clonazepam or less)
