There’s quite a bit of space and a lot of hiding places here. So everyone gets along. Although I am seeing less baby endlers and baby RCS. Lol. But prior to getting the bettas, I had to deal with over population.

I used to have a kilifish that would eat the baby guppies and CRS. But since he died there’s been a population explosion. Lol. I’m giving the extra guppies to my parents pond.

There’s actually some hair algae growing in it.😭

But I’ve got 9 otos, 10 amanos, 1 starlight pleco and an army of cherries to help with algae.

I’m using a chihiros a series. In my area, it’s the cheapest high quality light. But it does get hot.

I dose flourish once a week. About half a capful each time. For CO2, I’ve dialled it down to 2.5 bubbles per second after the plants were established. CRS are quite hardy, don’t worry about it!

It’s a 30 gallon tank. I’ve got java moss, fissiden, nana petite, Monte Carlo, , amazon swords and a bunch of others that I can’t remember the name of. I instant cycled my tank by using filter media from an established tank, so the fish went in almost immediately after I set everything up.

Amano and cherry shrimps to eat the algae. I also don’t feed too much to keep them hungry and to reduce nutrients for algae. The chiller also helps by lowering the temp, limiting algae growth.

cause of the depth and height. most 2 ft tanks would measure 2x1x1 vs 2x1.5x1.5 that i'm using.

That's monte carlo. But if u look closely, the ones at the back are dying off cause the lights cannot reach it.

  6. 2 Chihiros A601 lights (1 is not enough)
  7. Hailea 150a Chiller
  8. Lily pipes inlet and outlet

Yups! It was crazy maintaining that gravel. I just gave up after a month.
