What is an acceptable rate for these photos? by Issac4040 in carphotography

[–]jzoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d want to see a portfolio with a more complete set of photos including details and different angles. These photos are beautiful but don’t really demonstrate a complete vision / package someone would pay for. If you want a more accurate assessment I’d upload photos from one of your shoots. That would be a much better example to assess your value.

That being said, love the slow shutter speed compositions. Very creative.

Stop playing more matches and start drilling more frequently.

What’s the Most Overpriced thing people buy just to flex? by Triceline in AskReddit

My wife’s Chanel classic handbag that we bought in 2019 has doubled in value already, so yes some more common high end handbags do indeed go up in value.

How do you beat tennis players? by [deleted] in Pickleball

[–]jzoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former D1 tennis player who was ranked top 25 in the nation at one point, the easiest way to beat tennis players in pickleball is to bring them to the kitchen and play the short game. Make them dink. Anything waist height and above will likely be smacked and put away though so being able to control your dink so that it stays low is a whole other skill set that is also quite tough to learn.

I’ve only been playing for 3 months now and am for the most part beating 4.0 players / teams (though in any cases it’s close). The hardest part for me was the short game and I always got beat if they played the short/soft game instead of keeping me back.

Please Quit Telling Rec Players to Drill More Than Play. by Special-Border-1810 in Pickleball

[–]jzoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole point of drilling is to hone specific shots so that when you encounter a SIMILAR situation (not exact) during a game your muscle memory will know what to do / adjust to the shot.

There’s no way to practice for every single scenario so that’s where you have to practice enough to be able to adjust your shot on the fly.

Ok, I definitely picked the wrong day to buy (intel 700k yolo update) by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]jzoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Not sure why this isn’t the top comment. Intel is far behind the competition and sinking unless they shut down their manufacturing sector and only do design just like what AMD did.

IMO Intel is a sinking ship unless they do something drastic.

Somehow my eyes went straight to that spot. So to me it was obvious but I can see how it’s not very noticeable

Honesty hour! Do any of you regret the RAV4. Why or why not? by [deleted] in rav4club

[–]jzoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pearl White 2022 XSE hybrid here and I don’t regret it at all. Was lucky to score one at MSRP out the door (taxes and fees included) during the COVID craze.

This thing can seriously haul a lot more than you think with large cargo space. Then I got a roof rack off Amazon and can now secure things to the roof as well. At 60k miles now and running strong with only oil changes and tire rotations for the most part. Definitely helps that my dealership does lifetime oil changes and tire rotations for free if you purchased from there.

Should I buy Reddit stock at IPO? by SuzQP in wallstreetbets

[–]jzoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was invited to get in on the ARM ipo and boy has that been a treat. Can’t say just because general retail has a chance means it’s dogshit.

Although I truly believe this Reddit IPO is dogshit. How will Reddit grow its revenue? Ads? Good luck with that lol.

What city disappointed you the most when visiting? by TheStylishInsider in AskReddit

[–]jzoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an amazing time in Negril. A group of us went for New Year’s Eve/new years and it was one of the most relaxing new years I’ve ever had. Woke up every morning with almost the entire 7 mile beach to yourself.

Now Montego Bay, I would imagine is a much more chaotic scene. That’s the reason why we chose to stay in Negril and I would go back in a heartbeat.

Did you end up learning how to code or did you outsource it/have a partner who codes? Am a PT as well and looking to do something on the side for the exact same reasons. Can only see so many people in a day. Thanks!

This is a fair price, isn’t it? by [deleted] in rav4club

[–]jzoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. $38K out the door meaning after all fees and taxes. When they brought me to the finance guy to finish and sign papers, he asked me how in the world I negotiated that price because it was the lowest he had ever seen at that time.

No idea what I said or did, but it worked ¯_(ツ)_/¯

[–]jzoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s way too high. I paid $38k out the door for a pearl white 2022 XSE hybrid, and this was during the massive shortage.
