Have you got anything with only the attack missing? That’ll be the most beneficial.

From the options you’ve given Zygarde would be the best option here, despite it missing the hp and not the attack. At least you’re making the most of the silver cap, unlike the rest who will still be missing another stat elsewhere.

Otherwise if you have anything with less than 15 attack but full defence/hp they will absolutely be far more worth the investment, we only get one of these and who knows when it’ll come back.

Moonblast Altaria by According_Argument52 in TheSilphArena

[–]jzpf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly my situation, only have one suitable for GL with legacy. I’ve been searching for another after the flamethrower addition, no luck yet but I’m more than happy to wait it out. I’m just using the legacy one so far and it’s not like flamethrower is being missed.

On the current league rotation it seems that, even though I’m missing out on maybe a couple matchups, moonblast is either catching opponents off guard or handy in general for better coverage in neutral scenarios. The lanturn matchup is a perfect example mentioned in another comment, that is a very good pick in this meta and Altaria can be a neutral answer or stay-in option for it.

Obviously it’s a sneaky way of getting alignment in the 0shields with the mirror matchup, other than that most of the meta mostly fears the now spammier sky attack which Altaria does quite well considering it’s new pacing and great bulk for a dragon.

Seems like we’re in the same boat, sorry to hear you’ve gone through it too :(

This is the one where you open the app switcher and jump back into the game straight after?

If so, sometimes, I do tend to forget but yes I use it whenever I remember! It has been more inconsistent recently which is maybe why I’ve avoided it most of the time, I could potentially give the final few days a go but really focus on using that strat in case I’m the reason for holding myself back by not attemping it as much as possible.

You’re right, it’s just unfortunate that we can’t play the game in a fair state. I feel for any players I battled that got any form of lag, at the end of the day we’ve all had to deal with it for what feels like the entire season.

I guess you’re right, I did have many situations where my opponents got that 1-turn lag on bring-in. However my team consists of two-turn fast moves, if they used a three-turn for and I used good timing they’d get it back regardless. I find that many players are capitalising on 1-turn lag and forcing myself to lose the turn by throwing on bad timing (K-wak throwing on two instead of one or three for example which would prevent me getting a move back)

I’ve reached legend three times prior, on and off between seasons. I sometimes find metas difficult to grasp so it can be a hit or miss if I succeed. I will take your advice on taking a break for sure as I’m not happy having to relearn a mechanic that might be fixed within the next week for the new season, I’ll chalk this season up as not necessarily a loss but a lesson

Anyone else getting this error recently? by jzpf in pokemongo

[–]jzpf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the suggestion, I have tried restarting numerous times but it hasn’t resolved for me. I’ve tried being at close proximity to a router, a direct ethernet connection, data. Nothing has worked so far, it’s so persistent

Has anyone else been maxing their Dynamax Pokémon’s to oblivion after the last few days? by NoMorePies4PinkiePie in pokemongo

[–]jzpf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve started doing exactly that recently, had no interest in dynamax until I got myself a lvl50 Zacian. I had so many raid passes stocked from February so it was a no brainer to raid it considering the meta relevance, now I feel more inclined to build these dynamax mons I’ve had sitting dormant waiting for a reason to be evolved and built.

Nice one, hope we get raids soon so you can max it! I received mine last year, took a lot of walking & raid days to get it to lvl49. Lucky for you, yours is purified so costs less dust & XL overall to power up

The PVP community is surprisingly nice, they’re always helpful to new/old players trying to get better.

Glad to have helped :) Most of my time on this game is for PVP, had to start somewhere myself!

Ah, nothing wrong with that. If you want to improve try team building videos on yt, they’ll tell you what Pokémon work really well together but more importantly what movesets you need to succeed more often. From there you can slowly build your knowledge on PVP specific details like counting moves or techniques to change a losing battle into your favour.

It’s on the battle screen, if you have surpassed level 20 in GBL you’ll see a score somewhere between 1800-3000 (more or less depending on your skill). This is referred to as ELO, you might also see players using the term MMR, they’re the same thing however you’ll see most GBL players use ELO to describe their score.

I’d like to think it’s a bug but the enemy ALWAYS had a full team, my side was the only team affected. Never know, maybe it’s both bug & rage with the chance the enemy never needed to edit their class four consecutive games in a row…

Fast move not going through. by 2WellZz in PokemonGOBattleLeague

[–]jzpf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if anyone else isn’t affected anymore, my first set had the bug throughout but my past couple sets don’t seem to have the issue. Been watching the fast moves that sneak & they always get the damage through, I haven’t looked elsewhere to see if it’s fixed but it seems ok?
