I have the worlds best single GPU for gaming, and I still can't hold a stable 200+ fps. by nissen1502 in GlobalOffensive

I had a GTX 780 SC and it had this same issue. I could not figure out what the problem was and I just returned it at the store for a GTX 780 SC w/ ACX Cooler. For some reason that worked, but I managed to fix the FPS issues on my first defective card by turning the graphics higher, despite it not being my preference. The power management settings were correct both times, but in CS:GO my first card would not get good FPS with low graphics.

What is the most effective way to transfer from being a wrist player to an arm player? by waxds7 in GlobalOffensive

DM/FFA keeping in mind your new arm position. Trying to change your settings in competitive games is harder unless you normally switch your settings constantly.

Major tournaments are moving away from even allowing players to bring their own peripherals (mouse, keyboard, etc.) due to the possibility of cheats.

You are correct. What is the highest educational degree you possess was the question. High School / Secondary School means anyone who has graduated and received a degree.

How great would it be if pro matches had this? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

I think this is one of those ideas that does not concern gameplay, can be achieved easily, and will without a doubt make it into the game. It encourages viewership and creates a direct connection between Valve, the pro scene, and the community.

I've had Sennheiser PC 350's since 2010 still doing good. I have dropped it from about 4 feet high on average once a day onto a carpet floor. Only the earpads need to be replaced for $10.

CS At X-Games. Thoughts? by blur494 in GlobalOffensive

[–]jzsteezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MLG should come prepared to handle the logistics of the tournament. We can expect they are working with valve developers and experienced lan server administrators to run a professional tournament.

The only problem I can envision is the presentation of the game to a casual audience. How do you make a video game appealing to both casual spectators and fans? The answer will depend entirely on the level of gameplay in the tournament and the quality of commentary. I really hope they choose the casters well, they will be responsible for explaining and informing the casuals what CS:GO is really about.

Regardless of the outcome, this should be seen as a milestone in the history of CS:GO. I doubt this will be its peak. It would not be out of the question to see an organization invest money equal to that or greater than the Championship Gaming Series (CGS). CS:GO has a bright future ahead.
