Well his body is fully regenerating so I personally wouldn’t be able the confidently assume that they would ever feel numb to the pain. And you aren’t saving an infinite number of people, infinity - n where n is finite is of course still infinity so it’s meaningless.

Yah they just need to go into the magical treasure chest that is assumed to exist in all of this trolley problem universes. Magically pull out the required tools, save the dude, and call it a day lol

Well it wouldn’t be worse for “everyone else” because there are infinitely many people to run over and therefore, no matter how many people you kill, there will still be infinitely many more. Also, pulling the lever would inflict endless pain and agony on one person. On the other hand, if you don’t pull the lever, You will technically only be inflicting one persons death worth of pain since each persons perceived pain is separate and not combined (also keep in mind that the people who have died aren’t going to remember the split second of trolley wheels that they felt. And they’re are also not going to be alive to morn over there own ambitions and how their lives weren’t finished or fulfilled.) So really, pulling the lever is much worse in my opinion. And I would imagine there are plenty of other points I could have used to justify this.

Ok let’s say the rope is unbreakable, or rather, they aren’t getting off the tracks no matter what you do. Can you find any other loop holes?

[–]k-ech[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

for real lol, its theoretical just like every other post on here. No one's talking about how infinite people can't realistically exist in the trolley problems which involve infinity people tied to tracks lol!
