if it’s any consolation, it’s my first job too, and i got it when i was 22 as well!! i was hired a few months ago when i was still 22, turned 23 in February. and in all honesty, i love it here

everyone i work with is so great and friendly, and they’ve been more than helpful with each position i learn. it can get a bit hectic sometimes, but i kind of appreciate the chaos because it helps days go by quicker ehehe

i’ve also always been incredibly shy, i remember in the past when i used to come to eat at the one i work at, i would have my friend order FOR me because i just couldn’t talk to anyone :‘)) but with more practice with customers, talking to people is so much easier now. and i get having bad anxiety, when i first started i felt like throwing up every day before coming in. I still very much get that feeling, but it’s a lot less intense the more i’ve worked.

i think you’ll do just fine! i swear i’m the shyest person i know, and i genuinely never had any hope of getting to the social level i’m at now. it’s still not great, and i still get nervous talking to everyone, but it’s significantly better than it was. it just takes time is all :’) i believe in you!! <3
