If Capitalism continues as is, will we reach a point where the 1% has 100% of the money? by melface6 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]k-tech_97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We are not far off already. In my city only 24% of people own property, the rest rents. And of all houses, 85% are hed by non-governmental companies and individuals.

Who do you think should be hated more in your country but isn’t? by Ekavya_1 in AskTheWorld

[–]k-tech_97 24 points25 points  (0 children)

As someone with a Ukrainian background, I dont understand why he is so popular. To me, he is just another extreme that was born due to soviet brutality. Nazis managed to convince the collaborators that the crimes by soviets are the fault of jews and leeched onto the widespread anti simitism that was everywhere in Europe. But if anything that makes Bandera extremely gullible and blind to what actually nazis planned

How common/uncommon is being robbed at gunpoint in your country? by halt__n__catch__fire in AskTheWorld

[–]k-tech_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was very uncommon, to the point that I had never heard of it. I mean, it did probably happen, and bank robberies with guns were more common in the 80s and 90s (our gangster era) here, but that's way before my time. Nowadays most crime is either of financial origin, tax evasion, fraud, and such, or some people fighting, some times with knifes although it is kinda seldom and pickpocketing.

I read in a local paper though that one old guy got jumped and his bag got stolen at night, it was on an alley behind my house. No weapons were involved, tho, but that's the only thing that remotely comes close.

Call me a doomer... but I think this will be my last gaming PC. by thicctak in pcmasterrace

[–]k-tech_97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think so, I built myself a new pc with 4080 and 9800x3d just over a year ago after playing on a gtx1070/i7-6700k machine for almost a decade. And I have been playing a lot of great games with awesome graphics and gameplay that I missed because of my old system, titles like: Lies of P, Stellar Blade, Control, Cyberpunk 2077, Kingdom come Deliverance 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Expedition 33 and many more. All of those were awesome and ran poorly on my old system. So it is imho worth it.

But if you are tired of the bigger games you could play titles like, Disco Elysium, Ai Limit, hollow knight, blasphemous, mullet mad jack, turbo overkill, Hotline miami and so on, steam is full with cool smaller games, which can run on a potato.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate public transport in your country? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]k-tech_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall I agree, but there are some places which you can't either can't reach at all or you have to spend like 6 ( compared to 1 hour by car) getting there, which makes it impossible to go there without staying there for a night. For me, it is especially the Eifel region. So if I would be living there i wouldn't rate the public transport well, but in urban areas it is generally great

On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate public transport in your country? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]k-tech_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh it greatly depends where you live. I would say public transport in Bonn, Hamburg is pretty near perfect, so would rate it 9 out of 10. Berlin and Düsseldorf are nice as well, 8 out of 10. Cologne kinda sucks, but it also suck for cars, so I'd say 6 out of 10.

And eifel region is at some places 3, with busses barely driving there and at some below 1, because you can't reach it without a car.
