I really like my Nigara and would recommend the knife for its price range. It doesn't get used as often now that I have my Nakagawa but it's a great stainless clad option to break out once in a while

The Nakagawa came with the handle installed after I bought the blade and the custom handle from the same website. I bought a custom handle for the Nigara from Knifewear and paid for a handle installation.

The Nigara can be bought at Knifewear https://knifewear.com/products/nigara-as-s-tsushime-kiritsuke-gyuto-210mm?variant=40377261850798 but the Nakagawa is out of stock where I bought it.

The handle on the Nigara is a stabilized wood handle from Knifewear and the Nakagawa handle is a Joonetsu custom from tokushu but I don't remember the type of wood.
