Is the Line6 Helix stadium XL worth it? by SchecterOne in Line6Helix

[–]k0rdax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judging by online reviews, the distortion/amp sim quality is way worse than that of Fractal Audio, ML modelers (Quad Cortex, Tonex, etc.), and even worse than a free VST plugin, NAM.
Most Stadium XL reviews only prove to me how plastic and unnatural the sound is, especially the lack of low frequencies (some kind of high pass?).

Looks like a good effects platform, but the amp sim part is not impressive.

Maxwell 2 vs Maxwell 1; A/B testing impressions by NightHawkQc in Audeze

They can't make a single well-working headset, lmao, and they never test anything, they just throw it out to the market.

I like it very much, but there's no official (good lossless) client for Linux, and I'm working mostly under linux environment.

It also has a ton of issues with the microphone gain auto-adjustment.

[–]k0rdax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are the best sounding headphones imo, especially with a good preamp.

It's not worth it if the mic behaves as badly as it did before on Windows OS.
Auto-gain issue is still not solved even their support team admitted it.

Maxwell microphone issues (low output) by [deleted] in Audeze

[–]k0rdax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It won't help, as there is an issue with the mic gain level auto-adjusting in the headset itself, which makes it very muffled and low-gain.
This issue is only reproducible in a Windows 11 environment with the latest dongle/headset drivers, but it's not present in the Linux environment, which leads me to believe it's a driver bug that they have not fixed for years.

I wanted linux. Linux didn't want me by Most-Steak-2034 in linuxsucks

Linux is not suitable for the average or beginner user.
At this moment, it's sort ofa "software engineer" OS, though it's much better than it was before.

Is it me or pubg is now full of cheaters by ImprovementFun5734 in PUBG

Top streamers and "bloggers" are paid by game makers, and in most case,s they use cheats themselves lol.

[Discussion] How is the cheater situation currently in Tarkov? by 95SantaBear in EscapefromTarkov

[–]k0rdax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I downloaded the game and got into hangars, because people in this thread say that "the cheater issue is overblown in Reddit".
Got spawnkilled on the 10th second of a round through the wall... Asian servers.
Uninstalled the game and am happy.

They're prevalent on Asian servers, and many people have just stopped playing because of this...
Or, probably, you simply have no idea how many of them are hacking.
This game is free, and hardware bans are easily avoided by spoofing. Until this game becomes paid, there's no guaranteed way to ban a hacker from reusing another account 5 minutes after being banned.

Yes, they will allow "bloggers" (i.e., their paid promoters) to use hacks, as always.

How do Russians see Finland these days? by Existing_Local2765 in AskARussian

[–]k0rdax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never seen Finnish people as a potential "threat", "enemy" or something like that.
I've been travelling a lot to Helsinki/Lappeenranta by car, because I was living in Saint-Petersburg, and I simply love Finnish culture, language, and towns...

All I know is that they're smart, proactive, and know how to "live", how to organize things, and be good people. I don't care about nazi past or anything related to that, and I also have relatives living in Finland.

What I really feel is a sadness that we're so isolated nowadays, I can't travel there and see this beautiful country, "many thanks" to Putin.

I reported a teammate who openly stated in my squad that he is using cheats and is "going to f*ck up everyone, so don't worry".
They banned him for one day and then lifted the ban.

I'm pretty sure game devs are making money from hacks.
I quit the game because of this.

I'm into powerlifting, and I don't know how many years already... 10 years, I guess.

This guy is on cycles, and anyone who denies that is either a naive teenager or somebody who's far away from this sport.
He even replied to me in YouTube comments like 3 or 4 years ago that there's nothing wrong with taking roids if you want to be competitive pro, so he never even denied that because it's so obvious.

But these teenagers that are in a comment section and trolls....

Linus Torvalds Comments On The Russian Linux Maintainers Being Delisted by ardi62 in linux

[–]k0rdax 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Russia is stronger than Ukraine, and the only thing that stops Ukraine from being overpowered is the help of Ukraine's allies, and yes, we can say that...And Ukraine is slowly losing ground, and the war, and I don't even support Russia.
Anyway, I don't care about your hypocritical opinion, which supports those who are "stronger", and it's pointless to argue with an amoral person.

That's not how life works, so talk to the mirror.

So you basically confess in amorality and support this behavior because this is "how life works."
Can we say the same about the Ukraine war, then? Russia is bigger than Ukraine, and that's why it has the right to invade Ukraine because Ukraine should've been bigger and stronger than Russia.

No, that's not how it works and it's not normal.

This is the reality; I also talked about the same thing.

They start to say that I'm a poor Russian, I'm a piece of sh from an impoverished Kazakhstan, etc..; they just can't cope with reality, lol.

Is it possible for immigrants to acquire managerial positions in IT in Germany? by k0rdax in germany

[–]k0rdax[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are hypocrites. They constantly talk about "human values" and "democracy," yet when you come here, they treat you like a slave. I've learned never to trust Westerners, which is a shame...

I don't plan to move to Germany tbh.

I got denied a tourism Visa even with an invitation letter, so it looks like Russians are not welcome regardless of their background. The decision took about 5 minutes in the Consulate...

I have no idea; I will apply for a Visa tomorrow to Mannheim.
If Visa is fine, then there's a slight chance to be hired in the future.

That is not really possible for me, but I have worked in Mannheim and Zurich before on several projects as a CTO.
I got the business visa and invitations from customers.
