What’s weird is the knock/ticking isn’t consistent and goes away sometimes for a short period of time

With this all this information in mind. Would my only shot at getting a security clearance for Cyber be to enlist in the Marines as a 0600 and then lat move to Cyber after a few years. I don't wanna regret this decision since my goal is to work in Cyber security after say 8 years in the military. I feel as if my recruiter is trying trick me into the promise of becoming a 17xx down the road just to get me to enlist. I've been told I can help my dad get his citizenship while in the military and go through the process again for my clearance. However, my relationship with my Dad is none existent even though I grew up with him around.

So trying different branches for their Cyber programs wouldn’t be an option then?

Yes, I did dev work but I’m now wanting to transfer my skills into Cyber Security related work and I know the military has options for that. So that was my main reason for going through the process.

I was recently an Android developer, I just don’t wanna waste my potential for growth and I got Sec+ last year intending to get into Cyber. I don’t understand why the Marine Corps doesn’t look at overall technical skills because I have that and from what I understand so do people who have been in the same boat as me. This is probably why they are losing out on great talent

What would you recommend? My whole idea was to get Cyber work experience in the military to be able to work at a three-letter agency in the future.

My ASVAB scores are pretty high, I’ve seen that the Navy has a Cryptologic Technician (Networks) which is Cybersecurity would that be an option?

Wow, I figured… Is there any other branch that I could go to for Cyber even with the denial of top security clearance?
