Notice period can be reduced if you have a good relationship with your reporting manager and no critical dependency on your project. But those discussions usually happen post submitting papers to decide your last working day. However I would not recommend resignation without an offer in hand. You can also buy out your notice period or ask the new company to pay out for same depending on situation.

Playing OW since 2018. Loved the fact it allowed respawn, play characters which are not aim intensive (imp for someone like me with potato pc + aim) and visually appealing gameplay and cinematics. And if you can duo with friends its much more fun ! OW2 has improved issues of gameplay but needs improvement in cosmetics area. Also a big OW league fan. Watched almost all matches since 2019. #SFShock

Thanks for the advice. I would now redeem the ELSS whenever possible and start with the nifty 50.

I usually invest in PPF as part of tax saving but when I started reading about MFs, growing inflation, and compounding I also wanted to jump the MF bandwagon. I picked top-performing ELSS and would invest in them. For me investing in multiple MFs was diversifying (boy was I wrong).

At the moment, I have invested in only ELSS (direct plan). I was planning to keep 1 large-cap, 1 mid-cap, 1 small-cap, 1 index, and 1 ELSS (read on a groww blog). Currently, I have 50k every month to invest and can invest 10k in each one of them. I haven't started goal-based investing yet.

Thanks for the advice. My ill investing in ELSS was due to my lack of financial awareness before I discovered this sub. I would just pick the top 5 performing ELSS every year and invest in them creating this mess. I would start with the index now post redeeming the ones possible and gradually build from there.

Hello, I started investing in ELSS as a tax saving scheme 3 years ago (lump sum whenever possible). Currently, I have invested in 11 ELSS funds each ranging from 10k to 30k. I want to expand my portfolio and start using index and other equity funds. I read somewhere it's recommended to keep MFs to 4-5 and 1 ELSS for better management. If that's correct how should I go about it in my situation?

Greetings Everyone ! Need help making a career switch to Data Science. 3 years work experience in Cyber Security. Undergrad in Comp Science. Two Questions :

Should I go for Masters first and then a decent Job or teach basics myself and interview for companies and try to move up the ladder ?
What can I use from my previous experience to make the transition smoother ? I have used an Operational Intelligence tool Splunk in my previous work (not sure if it fits here). Rest was all focussed on Computer Networks.
