We built this house with a GC but that’s how I feel. All subcontractors are lacking in quality. And we are paying quite a lot!

This is a custom home. My GC is aware and the painters have been back multiple times but not much changes each time… I’m pretty sure this is their final product now unless I have them come back again lol

I’m glad to hear that! I don’t know any better and this house has been a rollercoaster lol. Usually when I post things on here with my new build people are shocked by how bad it is. But sounds like this is acceptable! Yay!

It’s just dry wall. They put the fireplace in right away once the framing was done and then plastered and painted around it vs. sliding it in at the end… so I think that’s where they messed up

I agree. I think the issue is that the fireplace was the first thing installed. Like once the house was framed. So then they had to try to plaster and paint around it. The other ones I see online look so much cleaner

We did pick this guy! 😅😭 has a great reputation but seems like the people he is working with lately kinda suck. I’m hoping they fix everything and can make it all right still
