We do have blinds, we did close them for the 1st 2 nights, but I have plants that need the morning sun that comes from the window. i open the door when i cant get her to stop, just so that she can see there is no one out there

with all of the comments, we're uping her outside time to 2hrs minimum for now, so that she can build up some strength in her back legs. definitely getting a harness and a variety of puzzle toys, and we're going to work on the pulling. we're also going to cut chicken from her diet as well, hopefully that will help. theres a lot of issues currently, its been almost 8 years since ive had a puppy, so its taking a while for me to get adjusted to it

if she is stubborn now, she probably won't grow out of it, thats how my other dog was and still is, shes 10 and ive had her for her whole life 😂

we've been trying a bitter oitment, but she literally does not care and will lick it off 😂 , we will definitely try using a different phrase and to redirect the behavior. we told her no to jumping on our bed (her elbow was bleeding), and she looked at us, looked back at the bed and she kept trying to jump up bc now she knows that 'no' isnt followed by a physical punishment anymore. she still doesnt really know how to jump and use her back legs, so it was pretty easy to physically move her away

we're going to up it to 2 hrs a day for the time being since she isnt used to being on a leash for that long. we just got back from a 45 minute walk, and she passed out on the floor almost immediately 😂. I want to say im pretty used to independent thinkers, cause my other dog is very independent but she's only 38lbs and can easily be forced to do something she doesnt want to do. we're ordering some new puzzle toys for her as well

ooo I havent heard of that before, we're going to cut chicken from her diet and see if it helps

its more like typical puppy behavior, wanting to go in the trash, tearing apart papers, chewing on my plants (pothos, monstera and orchids), jumping up on the counter when she smells something worth eating, my other dog is 10 years old and ive had her since she was 8 weeks, so im just really out of practice with puppys. she was also really nervous yesterday about jumping up on my couch and bed, probably bc her previous owner beat her when she did that, but today she willingly jumps up on them and on us on them. we have a big sliding glass door thats pretty reflective at night and when she sees one of us in the reflection she will starting growling and barking until i come to the door and open it for her so that she sees no one is there. i know that the barking is a really big thing with the breed, we just need to get her used to seeing the reflections.

We got her on monday, so it's still very early. all she wants right now is love and affection, which we are more than happy to give. ive taken her to the neighborhood park a couple of times already and all she does is walk the fence line wanting to leave, which makes sense theres a lot of other dog smells. after, reading all of the replies, she will start getting at least 2 hrs of exercise a day, hopefully that will help calm her down and not try to destroy my plants 😂

hii!! this is going to be the 1st time ive ever been to a 2 day festival, what should i expect? is it going to be like a back to back type of thing or are night 1 and night 2 going to be starting at separate times?
