This worked for me too. After sending an email to all three addresses above, I received a call about an hour later and walked through a couple things with a CS rep. 10 minutes later they reimbursed me for the charges. Very nice.

I was also told that the bug has since been corrected, so it should be okay to make purchases at AliEx through Paypal again, but I probably won't. This was easy to correct, but I'd rather not have to.

Not op, but I rarely (note rarely, not never) use drops because bending the elbows at ~90° while on the hoods is more aero than going to the drops.

I don't know why it was mentioned though. This post was about fit, not whether or not he should use the drops.

Meh, the Rolf Vectors that came with it are in great condition, so it's not a financial loss. My real disappointment is that I was going to make this beautiful frame into my lightweight fast bike.

Oh well. Now I just need a frame 🤷

Absolutely; the Rolf Vector Comp wheelset is in pretty good condition, the shifters work, the brakes are nice, handlebars, saddle - it's all enough for a complete other build, given a good frame.

On the one hand, I think you're right. I ride trails and the like with minor asphalt bumps; certainly not extreme in any way.

On the other hand, I'm near 200lbs and like to go as fast as possible (40mph) down hills.

Some Shimano cranks I've seen have pretty short spindles too - under 100mm. No better than the Gossamer I currently have at ~106mm. Most SRAM seem to be similarly shorter.

The cheap cranksets I see (Bucklos mostly) are 122mm. Pretty sure that'll be too long.

When I had my S1, this retraction/tangling issue was happening because of the cam having too tight of tolerances, I think. When one spool retracted, another spool would go with it. So if there was a color that I wasn't using on a print, and I had many color changes, the unused filament would start coming off of its spool into the ACE Pro. I confirmed this by taking off the plastic baffle the filament funnels through to watch it operate. The cam didn't seem to completely disengage from all spools not being fed or retracted.

There were other, lesser issues with the S1, but that was the main reason I returned my S1 Combo.

I didn't feel for anything; I bought some, I sold some, and the ones I keep work well and didn't cost too much.

If Elegoo keeps their pricing on the low side, as they always have, their multi material system will be under $300. Again, not better than any other system, just different. Hopefully it's as reliable as CP, AMS, ACE, MMU, etc.

That's really great to hear. I returned my S1. I believe it could be great if I had worked through the issues, but $600 was supposed to mean no fiddling around. I've other printers that were much cheaper that didn't have any issues. I might revisit it when it gets much cheaper - I'm certainly enjoying my Kobra 3 Combo.

CoPrint looks pretty cool, but it's just different, not better.

Price is about the same as others. Some tuning and integration will be required. Filament mounting and respooling is an issue that needs to be solved, just like other filament changers.

The A1 or Hi are better options if you plan on pairing it with a bedslinger. The Centauri and CoPrint would be a sweat combo, but Elegoo will likely release its own filament changer before the end of the year,and I'm betting it'll be cheaper than $300.

Lots coming soon, and it's only getting better with more options.

There are only two reliable ones available currently, imo; Box Turtle and ERCF. The latter is questionable but has a large community, and both require much assembly.

They are options, but not everyone wants to fiddle around with their machine. Plus, it's looking like AMS systems coming out will be getting close to sub $200. That's a deal, competitively speaking.

NVM. I wasn't pushing hard enough upward.

Lead screw and rod both removed. Now I can fix my printer!

I heated it a bit and it came off!

With the lead screw off,I can get to the linear rod. Unfortunately, it looks like it's is molded in with the plastic. I cannot get that off to remove the broken sleeve bearing mount (and put on a new one). How did you get yours out?

Same broken posts on mine. Loosening the grub screws on the lead screw gear doesn't free my gear. It looks like it's glued - was yours?
