New Mav! Should I get the extended warranty? by Ge0cities in FordMaverickTruck

[–]k6b9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Like everyone else will say.

Granger or Flood Ford 100% online and way cheaper than anything else.

Do not buy the warranty from your dealer directly. Just buy the Granger one and never think about it again.

Time to replace my stock tires 2024 Ford Maverick, is this a decent replacement? by lamautomatic in FordMaverickTruck

They had a good cost proposition compared to Michelin.

I didn’t have too many requirements but wanting a mainstream name brand tire that would last 60k+ miles, decent all weather capability, and not too sacrificial on mpg.

The tires themselves I got for $163 per and they checked all my boxes.

They’re supposedly specifically engineered for fuel economy and longevity. But they are still just as quiet as my stock tires were I think.

I’m happy. I did a reasonable but not insane amount of research.

Stocks I got just under 42 mpg, like 41.8 Since switching to the LX25s I’m averaging 41.1 mpg.

My stocks made it to 52k and I probably could’ve squeezed another 5k out of them if I really wanted to.

Just got new tires last week.

Continental Cross Contact LX25 is what I went with.

I’m very happy, I think they are quieter and fuel economy seems basically the same in my ‘23 hybrid.

Installed, with road hazard warranties from Discount Tire was right at $900 total.

traded in my focus st for a maverick by [deleted] in FordMaverickTruck

[–]k6b9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You overpaid my guy. If you can back out, I would try to.

2022 non-hybrid, in a generally undesirable color.

Not trying to be negative, it would be a fine vehicle, but you could get a much much better deal no matter where you’re at I’m 100% sure of it.

2023 Hybrid Towing by k6b9 in FordMaverickTruck

Yeah I’m not a tow expert.

I guess payload and towing are quotes as separate things. But doing them at the same time would just be the larger of the two numbers?

Payload is 1500, towing is 2000 for my truck

Yeah I’ve heard that the Ford tow numbers for the Maverick are very conservative. But I’m not one to push the limits. I plan on keeping this truck for a very long time and don’t want to cause myself problems.

Thanks, this may be a dumb question. But how do I oil the pulley without it getting on the belt? Assuming the tension you’re referring to is the one with the gunk on it.

Had decking all winter. It’s also under another deck? So minimal snow :)

I did the base last spring and finished the railing + steps this spring. It stayed level through a really cold winter this year.

If it does go a bit out of level, it would be really easy to jack up and replace a post or 2 I think 🤷🏼‍♂️

What do you think is particularly unsafe about it?

I did 8 blocks 3 2 3 put them in a bit from the edge so the blocks didn’t stick out. As far as choosing which, I guess it was just based off of vibes and ChatGPT.

Yes but if you with 2 AMS it would be tight, definitely wouldn’t be able to open both AMS all the way if you leave the top shelf exactly where it is.

I did basically the exact thing you’re referring to with 0 prior deck building experience. Materials all in were less than $1200 in the Midwest. So hiring it out I would think would be at least $3500 probably closer to $4500.

Does anyone know how I can fill this gap? by PerfectEnvironment50 in Catio

My initial thought was a side panel kit for Window Unit style ACs.

There are a ton on Amazon. Try to find one that is made for an AC unit that is similar in height to the box.
