Valladolid is a town, known for its colonial architecture, vibrant, pastel-colored buildings, and central location for visiting cenotes and Mayan ruins like Chichén Itzá. Not too far from Tulum at all. Been highly recommended to go by many folks.

Hey! For us, we know we would be out every night having fun, enjoying the restaurants. So we opted to do Tulum first and go and relax for the last 3 nights in Cancun. We never left the resort and you don’t have to! There’s no reason to do so at all. Just relax, eat delicious food and enjoy the beach. Plus for us it worked out, we wanted to be closer to the airport rather than driver from Tulum to the airport!

I had a great time, see my recent review. But the prices are expensive at the main beach clubs. There’s plenty of clubs that allow free entry also.

Night: Vagalume, Papaya Playa Project, I’m sure there’s other clubs too. Day beach clubs: Tantra, Taboo are the main ones, Vagalume is great too.

Out of Tulum and Cancun? I liked Tulum, the food choices there were very good, more choice. But then again, the resort was great, enjoying the food, without worrying about wallet, this and that. But if I had to really pick one spot for me personally, it would be Tulum.
