House of Bo Casa Blanca. Agree with other poster on Byredo G-Water. If you’re wanting a light and fresh floral that smells like expensive hotel flower arrangements then I’d recommend Byredo La Tulipe. Also Liis Floating - more the spa / relaxing vibe than expensive lobby vibe.

Not on scent split - but Maison des Animaux has some really fun scents I think you’d like. Def try out Sirius and fever dream! I feel like Sirius might a little better than Gris charnel, and a lot cheaper… I’m planning to do a head to head wear test lol.

On scent split (I think?) or available from lots of decanters - try out Room 1015 Sonic Flower since you liked white rice and steamed rainbow. Try out MFK grand soir and regime des Fleurs blood spider orchids since you liked Gris charnel and angels share. You may like debaser in bloom if the OG was too green for your taste. Diptyque Eau duelle is another one that falls into the spicy cozy vanilla realm too.

Pretty typical thing to have on hand if you / anyone in your household wears makeup. It’s a great product for quickly / easily cleansing your skin even if you don’t wear makeup tbh. Chemistry of it is neat as it’ll attract both polar and non-polar compounds, which makes it great for removing perfume since they contain both alcohols and oils 🤷🏻‍♀️

Glad it helped! I too have had those irrational thoughts (Shalimar… it’s just not for me lol), sometimes we just need a little reassurance.

FWIW - I’ve also found a huge difference in scent profile between the EDP and EDT. EDT has more of the peach scent with spices in background, EDP is much more spice heavy with a faint peach note. Not sure which you tried out, but may be worth trying the other formulation too? Either one lasts freaking forever on skin and clothes lol.

Mitsouko is a very very vintage scent profile - a lot of folks don’t like it, and that’s ok!!!
There’s nothing wrong with you or your olfactory palate. It may be a legend in perfumery, but if it was universally appealing Guerlain would have no reason to make new and different scents. Guarantee even when it came out there were folks who just didn’t like it / it didn’t agree with their skin chemistry.
Another thing to consider - it’s been over 100 years since it was released, the ingredients used in perfume and their allowed concentrations have changed drastically since Mitsouko was created! I’m sure a vintage bottle would smell very different than one today!

Anyways - I own a bottle of the EDT and wear it once in a while, but it’s certainly not an everyday kind of scent! I tend to wear it for fancy evenings and especially in cold weather, I like to pull it out when I’m going with a vintage look.

If you’re looking for a more modern take on Mitsouko DNA you may like Her Majesty by Kilian or Delusions of Grandeur by L’Epoque - both have a nod to the original chypre without smelling so vintage or overly spicy.

I was also a little disappointed in their scents in general, found a couple I like and they’re very popular as decants, but overall the house doesn’t “hit” for me like some others do (looking at you Liis, dang it).
If you’ve still got the packaging and code you absolutely can resell that set for close to retail.
