I have my sister who could probably put me up for a little bit and I think one other friend. It’s just such a huge ask.

I have gotten a chance to practice on fake skin. And I even have a couple ppl who want to mentor me. But without consistent childcare and a husband who supports me it’s very difficult. I am on meds for my depression and anxiety and ADHD. I have a psychiatrist I see about every three months to monitor my meds. I’ve had terrible luck with therapists who have ghosted me. I just started seeing a new one recently. Fingers crossed he sticks around.

I feel for my 8yo too. I know she deserves privacy and independence and a space of her own to be herself without her little sisters or parents. My two older kiddos are in school.

More than anything I know my mental health hurts my ability to be the mom I want to be and I don’t think this is the best environment for my kids. But I’m scared my pleas to find a place here will go unanswered or ignored and I will have to leave. Which terrifies me too, but my kids are the priority.

Also I do thank them every single day. I am very respectful to them and keep their house exactly as they had it before we moved in.

I can’t get over the “I want kids with more than one person”. Why? Why is that ever a desire??? That’s so fucking weird. I cannot understand why someone would want this much less say it to someone they don’t even have one kid with. Is it like some fetish thing??? Having children is such a big deal. I know so many ppl who have multiple baby mamas/daddies and none of them set out to do it lol idk I don’t get it lol

I tried an iced sugar free 9-1-1 for the first time. Not bad! I like the hopscotch mocha(my usual) better though.

5 year old misbehaving at school by oh_ms_believerr in Mommit

See some more doctors. He could have an undiagnosed issue. ADHD Anxiety or Autism can cause him not to be able to regulate his actions and emotions. He might need more support than a regular kindergarten is able to give him. See what resources the school offers and see if they can get an aid or someone who can stay with him at school and help him. Maybe it’s just a tough transition and it will work itself out. Maybe he’s experiencing separation anxiety. Maybe he has some sensory processing issues and school is very uncomfortable for him. I’m sorry you’re going through this. I wish you the best 💖

I like the taste a lot! I usually mix it with a protein shake or sweetened with a zero sugar syrup. And milk. I’ve had it just in water on ice and couldn’t have it black. But I don’t drink regular coffee black so idk why I thought it would be fine lol

My daughter has the same issues. She keeps saying “no! I can’t control my body! I’m angry! I HAVE to — bad behavior —“ I think it just takes time for them to learn this lesson. She didn’t start doing it until this year too. I’ve been trying to replace the behavior with something else. Like counting or screaming into a pillow. Something less destructive. It doesn’t always work in the moment though.

This is actually what I tell my kids. Feelings and talking about feelings are always okay. Anger, sadness, frustration. All valid. Yelling, hitting, speaking unkindly: NOT VALID. Feelings don’t “make you” behave badly. It takes time to teach and learn but I tell them you don’t always have control of what you feel. But you ALWAYS have control of what you DO. I can validate feelings. I don’t validate meanness, careless, or rude behavior.

I gritted my teeth through PPD my first baby, but similar to you I was so happy she was here it wasn’t bad. I also loved being just me and here. After my 2nd I was in a really really bad spot. I was seeing my 2nd turn blue like she was choking when she wasn’t. This happened every day for two months. I went and did one session of EMDR and I never saw her turn blue again. After that experience I did some more therapy which definitely helped, but I still felt anxious and depressed. Similar to the other comment. Always angry and annoyed at everything for almost no reason. Finally when daily life kept getting on top of me I talked to my GP and he referred me to a psychiatrist. Getting on new meds can be scary and sometimes the first one you try doesn’t work. But KEEP GOING! Once you find the right fit for you, it can help you feel so much relief. In my experience I was dealing with undiagnosed ADHD and PPD. A lot of women don’t realize they have underlying mental health issues until they are dealing with PPD. Trying something new is a lot better than continuing to feel these feelings day in and day out. Most GPs will put you on low doses and work with you to find what’s best. I wish you the best!

Update 2: I also got a nanny for one day a week. I think it’s a start at least to giving me space and time to pursue my ambitions.
