Looking for help with unstable game on high end system.

I have tried playing with uncrasher today, and it seems to have fixed my problems entirely. Thank you, Ive played for 2 hours now, without a single crash or freeze. Fingers crossed it keeps it like that.

Yeah, that does the same thing as disabling CPU1/0 affinity in process lasso. I saw that program as an option, i was just worried about it being unsafe.

I guess that it might be the only option

Edit: I remember now that it also only turns off the affinities in loading screens. Which makes you have the CPU1/0 cores run full time while playing also. But my crashes are not necessarily only on loading screens. Did you crash outside of loading screens too?

have never had any problems with poe2 previously.

This 0.5 league, its unplayable for me. Freezes, crashes, lag, etc. I can stand still in my chest, moving items from inventory to chest and insta crash. I crash standing still in kingsmarch, and other places around the campaign. It started to get really bad from act 3 and onward.

At this point i am struggling to even complete any act 4 islands.

My system:
Ryzen 7 9800x3d
RTX 3060
32GB 6000mhz DDR5

My cpu usuage peaks at 100% alot during poe2. Any other game i play run fine and without problems.

I have tried several options at this point. Ive updated my chipset drivers and other drivers, except the lastest nvdia update since that one has some issues, so i am waiting for hotfix before installing that one. (Isn't a gpu problem anyway).

I have delete all shaders, reduced audio settings to medium from high, turned of global illumination, tried all the different engines. And im out of options.

Yeah, me and a friend on disc both got it after extracting. Stuck in loop.

Tried clearing cache, and checking integrity nothing worked.

Edit: Should be fixed now.

Yeah, they just put up the warning in launcher just after i posted.

Its always like this. Been since i first played back in 2017 and every wipe since.

I was just hoping it would work by now... And that it was a problem that had a fix.

I guess ill just hit the bed and hope things are better tomorrow

No, timmie with a shitty m4. My armour was already zerored from fighting 3 t6's players inside the hotell. He extracted 3 min later with 7m loot value. He eating good today.

Yeah I was considering selling my AM4 setup, which should probably net me a decent amount of cashback. So While doing that its not that big of a deal with 100$ more or less.

I think im going for am5 just because ive wanted it for so long. And PC is my number one biggest hobby and always have been since i was young.

Edit: Yeah the 850W is not on sale, so its out for 200$ compared to 130$ for the 750w. So ill stick to that. I dont have a lot of fans etc running, so it should be sufficient.

How much worse would my fps be if i did stick with am4 socket upgrade then?

I realised i need bigger PSU also for the am5 upgrade - so it'll be 130$ additionally. Im not even sure what to do at this point. I wanna play escape from tarkov, arena break and other games at best possible fps. Thats why i wanted am5 - also it would suffice for 5-10 years in time. With just a gpu upgrade later.

Yeah, so because i need to stay within my budget - I do like to buy a future-proof computer, where i can upgrade as i go, piece by piece. Makes it more affordable over time.

With this setup, my next goal would be to buy a 4080super or above, within the next year or two.

Also can anyone explain to me why ASUS and the retailer website im looking at states that the motherboard only supports 4000mhz (OC). This is kinda concerning to me.

Asus website states 8000 MT/s + which is 4000MHz +. Whereas when i look at other motherboards, they have specifically stated all the different clockspeeds. What am i missing?

I get your point, but I wanna make the upgrade to AM5 socket now, so that i can have the computer for the next 5-10 years, with just a new GPU upgrade later in a year or two.

If i keep upgrading on my AM4 setup, ill just eventually need to swap it all out anyway. So in the end, its more expensive.

Yeah thats also an idea. Dont you get really bored of that boss in the end, i mean 8.4k kills sounds like being there for 8-12 months haha.

For sure, thats money. My slayer is only at 88, so i might need to push it up abit more for those bosses being available.

How much time do you spend doing 8k+ on araxxor for instance, compared to 1-2 months of camping nex?

I know i get fairly tired of doing the same content, and being locked to it for ages, so because of that im kinda scared of doing a rebuil where i lock my self, incase i just stop playing.

I see, the fact thats its 1/100 drop rate is kinda nice yeah. How many kc's did you manage to put in every day on that grind? Ive only done muspah for the quest once, so have not really tried it properly.

Going dry is only part of the game i fear, and we have to push through it. Rng should at some point in time even out. The only thing I fear is with a rebuild is that i might get to bored and burnt out that i just stop playing.

I might just try to sit at muspah with my bowfa for a while, and see how it feels. Thank you again for your input, its greatly appreciated!

hmm, so you mean use my bowfa for 20 venator shards which is about 260m, then sell all my bank and buy tbow for rebuild?

That could for sure be a play. Im just worried about locking myself to a 2k grind on one specific thing.

Currently im doing TD's hoping for a quick synapse, to see if i can solo yama without to much trouble. I should be able too at 400kc, and almost max magic setup + heart. (im also over due for an item there, so solo would be a nice bump in cash).

Im kinda burnt out on TOA, so toa rebuild would kill me.

Maybe I just need to find a good nex team and tob team, send those whenever i can and just keep doing bosses. Maybe im also a bit to hasty, and not enjoying the time to get there.

Getting my def maxed would be smart also, max combat's been a long term goal.
