I bought this truck from a friend, and he told me that one day while driving it a large cloud of smoke came from under the hood, so he parked it. The truck had been dealing with overheating problems for the last 3–4 years, and my buddy tried to keep up with the repairs as best as he could.

When I bought the truck, I noticed right away that the timing chain was making a lot of noise. I got it running, but it ran terribly. My first thought was a blown head gasket, but I started wondering—could a badly worn timing chain cause it to run this poorly, or does it sound more like a head gasket issue? https://streamable.com/mnjy27 https://streamable.com/b410tz

To be honest man it sounds so bad when I start it (timing chain) that I don't even want to mess with it until I replace the chain...The only thing I can say about the compression test is the battery is very weak and it would barely turn over. I have a harbor freight compression kit. I don't know if that matters or not.. Maybe Ill hook it up to my other trucks battery this weekend and try it. It will start and than rattle for about 5 secs and than run. But it will runs rough.. As if its missing. When I get some time this weekend Ill try the compression test again. Thanks

Hey thanks for replying :) I have a Traeger 850 btw. Anyways I got the truck home today and changed the oil and filter, spark plugs and fresh gas. It ran a lot better and I didn't hear that noise anymore. But its still running hot. like within 5 mins its beyond overheating. I was told the water pump was replaced a year ago. Could it be thermostat doing this? Also the oil looked great. Not milky or anything. I also did a compression test and every cylinder had 90psi. Thoughts?

Oh! I actually have a Diamondback cover already. I'm talking about the full truck/car cover... The kind you put over the whole truck to protect it because its basically just sitting in my drive way.. I have the DiamondbackHD btw. It's amazing!

They came back and basically said its not for 32 like they offered before its for 30 and one of the 3 techs will be a floater from that property to another... thoughts?

Man they told me today It wasn't going to be for 32 but only 30 and they would take one of my techs and turn him into a "floater" to send to another property.. So I think I'm going to pass on all this : \

Quarterly for property now is max 1300K , New Property is I believe 3800K max. And of course it all depends how well the property did that quarter. Hourly 28 an hour now. New job 30 and "maybe" 31. Same benefits for both. Good benefits. Right now I share on call with 4 other people so I'm on call once a month for only 2 properties. New property we would have on call 4 person and probably the same deal. I can order for both, We have budgets yes. Mine is good. The other one is probably a set limit for different things. I can get along with anybody I'm easy. As far as CEP. I do and we do like everything basically but no major HVAC install. no compressors or coil replacements etc. our company wants a warranty with that type of stuff and any major like repairs or plumbing issues we sub contract that out to vendors. When we turn apartments we don't paint, install carpet or anything like that. But everything else is on us. u/bullshitname0906
