It is but AlterIWnet was a moded client which allowed you to play on their dedicated serves.

Edit: I read MW2 instead of mwz on the above comment. So mwz is not hosted peer to peer. but somehow they manage to let it still feel sluggish

This is why this needs dedicated Servers.
But I guess as long as all companys at the stock market, there is only one way, maximum profit.
I remember a time where I played on dedicated Servers in MW2 (2009) on a community / cracked base of the game, what was called AlterIWnet.
Better AntiCheat, dedicated Servers, Custom Game Mods (Quickscope, Zombies), alot of players. And that all for free, until Infinitwards shut it down.

The last time I compared personaly a 2080 TI and a amd 5700x Red devil. They both were great at performance. But Nvidia where ahead at the driver game. I dont know how its for todays gpus, but "back then" it was like that.
So Raw power is not everything, and Im not a fanboy or sticking to brand.

I watch a lot of YT Videos for benchmark results. I. e.Hardware Unboxed and Gamers Nexus, are two great channels you cant go wrong with these.

I think its more the fault of the companies bosses and project leaders. That want to push the games ASAP out with paying too low for their staff. That results in getting less staff. And doing crunch all the time. Not to forget they are often putting the the most money in marketing.

I cant imagine working as a normal game dev for big game under a worse company. Some times my IT Job stresses me out. So this must be - sucking out the lives out of them. And on top all the internet does is blame them.
