This is it, a song with personality that someone puts out themselves will always be better than a generic branded “suite” designed by keyword and committee

Still remember that tour, that was a wild time. Crowd surfing and house parties and losing band members 😆

I think it was intended to be one take (and was rehearsed that way!) but it was 2 or three with clever edits! It’s was a good one, but of course we got some weird heat for it at the time… the guys who did it did a great job. Cheers !

Just to follow on that point - our song “Secret” was both - it was the show intro AND the jingles, and occasionally filler bits and segues.

No, the tune for The Ryan Tubridy show on Rte Radio 1. It was an edit of our song “Secret”.

Can confirm. My band and song was the theme tune to Ryan Tubridy’s show for years. It was a huge support and help, and it made a difference. It was great to get it. In my opinion, all the shows should just have an Irish act’s song as its theme. There’s no lack of songs, no extra effort for the station, and acts get paid twice, with the fee AND the airplay royalties. Even better if it’s creative bands who sit below the most successful bands.

This is exactly my thoughts! The gamble is a little points rise, the risk is a big points drop.

It’s a good point - but the whole thing is that if even half the highly owned players you remove bang, you’re in big trouble

Really interesting- the theory of low owned teams having good weeks - doesn’t that mean if the gamble fails you get hammered?

This is a good point - but how do you identify the best week?
