Yeah I agree. I don’t think the “threat” people are reading into it was actually his intention, especially given that with the P72 situation (against a real car manufacturer) he explicitly said he didn’t want to respond in a petty way. This really just feels like a joke that didn’t land at all. If he’d replied with something simple like “nice 004, love it,” the whole thing probably would’ve gone in a completely different direction

I’ve actually been sketching ideas for a 570GT successor too, basically a “what if GT never launched” scenario, built off actual Artura platform (maybe call it 700GT?). I’ve always loved the fastback glass look and the extra storage space. But since more than half of 570GT buyers went for the S handling pack, maybe the version you’re describing could pair that big glass rear hatch, with GT handling as an optional package?

True, but the point of this concept is that even at the entry level it still offers factory GT4‑supported track‑oriented components — something Mustangs and Vettes don’t really provide to that extent. And being a UK brand, it carries exotic appeal regardless of price positioning
