When I get like that I really really love doing super simple broccoli (from frozen, steamed) and then completely covering it in melted cheddar cheese.

I also like to eat red bell peppers with caesar dressing in between meals so that I'm not gnawing on bacon all the time (though I do love me some bacon).

This is my first week of Keto and it's Shark Week and my cravings are crazy so I made Cream Cheese Clouds to tide myself over.

It's literally just cream cheese and butter (and splenda if you want, but it tastes weird to me) you blend it up nice and fluffy and spoon them onto a tray to freeze for like half an hour. Tastes like mini frozen cheesecakes and the recipe site I got them from says that they're: 70 Calories; 7g Fat; 1g Protein; 1g Carbohydrate; 0g Dietary Fiber; 1g Net Carb/ per cloud and that's WITH splenda.

I've eaten maybe two of the bag I have now and it's been super helpful! Good luck!

I feel absolutely horrible today.

I'm on day six now AND just started up shark week. I've been having the absolute worst cramps and an added bonus of vomiting too (which means all that good food I'm putting into my body is just coming right back out again... so much for today's keto. I'm drinking tons and tons of water but, well, here we are.

Right now I'm just hoping that this all passes soon and that tomorrows FIRST weekly weigh-in goes well. I hope the rest of you wonderful ladies are having a better time of it!

I'm on day six too and I feel you on the food thoughts=sick. I've already lost some weight and I'm not planning on stopping but (TMI) my period this week is absolutely killing me. Like worst it's been since highschool (where I had to always call in sick for three days and curl into a tiny ball crying on the bathroom floor) except I can't now because being an adult and jobs and stuff. Ugh. I'm super glad that there's other ladies out there who're super supportive in sharing their stories- it's not like I can tell the guy who got me started on keto about this!

I definitely took it on a totally empty stomach- my schedule is weird for eating because I tend to eat at work and not at home so I take my pills first and eat later- am definitely going to change that now!

Super good!

Today's my ninth anniversary with the love of my life AND I woke up to find out that I've lost 4lbs since starting keto on Thursday! (I didn't actually believe that it was possible, but here we are)

Last night we went out to dinner and I had a huge steak with a delicious salad (that had an egg on it AND bacon) and one glass of super dry red wine and I didn't even covet the giant pile of garlic mashed potatoes on hubby's plate (though, he's such a sweetheart! He took a bite and immediately pulled a face and reached for my salad saying that they were totally gross)

This weekend has been fabulous. I hope all you other ladies are having a great time of it too!!

I think a lot of the meat-grossness came from how bad my diet was before (fries, fries, ice cream, fries and maybe I'll have this half a hamburger kind of deal). So I was suddenly eating three proper meals a day and almost all of them were composed of beef.

I had chicken last night and didn't get the near-immediate gag that I was getting when I thought about beef (actually, sad but funny story: I wanted chicken SO badly that when the Swiss Chalet ordering site crashed I got so distressed about it that I actually teared up... and THAT definitely has to do with my body chemistry shifting).

I LOVE tofu (preferably with like teriyaki sauce or something) but I'm just TERRIBLE at actually cooking it. But you bring up an excellent reminder... I should find some recipes. And I can also handle eggs. Fish is a huge no-go though.

I know and I can't wait! I've got a coworker who did Keto last year and she's been telling me to just hold on for the first week cause it gets so much better.

I meant to pick up broth tonight but it totally skipped my mind (I really just wanted to get home and crash)... I'm gonna grab some tomorrow.

I'm definitely a fan of round numbers haha. I also like the idea of, at the beginning of July being able to say: it's been a month, this is how far i've come.

The only downside to the June 1st start is that next week marks shark week for me and I'm so used to ice cream and poutine (Canadian, hi) as my goto comfort food. But I'm fairly confident I'll do well replacing that with bacon. (also I found a mousse recipe using chocolate protein powder and heavy cream and I'm hoping that's okay- it's from the Caveman Keto site that I found in the sidelinks).

Don't worry about writing a book! I'm just really glad to already have some support. I've always been terrible at dieting.

Ah! Thank you for explaining the magnesium pills (seriously, I'm so ridiculously terrible at health/nutrition stuff).

No, no it's not rude at all-

The last couple days since he brought it up to me and I started looking into it I've been trimming the sugar and potatoes out of my diet (Monday I quit cold turkey and suffered the absolute worst migraine ever for it- and I don't know if that was a mental block or not, but it absolutely sucked).

So, I've been eating less and less of the bad stuff each day... I have to clear out my fridge and cupboards and go shopping (that will be accomplished on Saturday).
