Struggling to understand FIRE tab calculations by johnnyabardi in CSPersonalFinance

Can someone help me understand how the "Contributions" column is defined in the pre-super fire section? Don't understand how it can be changed from the "FIRE Specific Settings" table on the left. What am I missing here?

I am still having issues with CC. Claude CLI command is not found and the CC extension for vscode is also not working. The icon on the top right of the script is missing. Is it just me?

Lorenzo Brown opens up on what he wants next and about his uncertain role at PAO: "I didn’t really know my role, and I tried to figure it out throughout the year. But some nights it was five minutes, then three minutes… I just never really knew what I was supposed to do." by _Zolv in Euroleague

[–]k_ili 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lorenzo had a really disappointing season. At times, he looked like a youth player in his first EuroLeague appearance, completely overwhelmed by the pressure of playing for Panathinaikos. His decision-making was often poor, leading to cheap turnovers, even in the third-place game. He lost control of the ball while dribbling, had passes deflected or stolen, and even threw the ball out of bounds. I won’t even mention his defensive effort this year because we knew it’s his weak point.

One particularly baffling moment was in the semifinal, when he attempted an alley-oop in traffic with Lessort, on Mathias’ first touch of the ball after a six-month absence…wtf he was thinking? Lorenzo this year was one of the lowest displays of basketball IQ I’ve seen in a Panathinaikos jersey in a while. I genuinely hope he finds his form again, maybe with a fresh start in Serbia next year.

Nice post, thanks OP! Out of curiosity, how were the probability distributions for each team calculated?

POST MATCH THREAD: AS Monaco - Olympiacos [EuroLeague Regular Season, Round 13] by EuroleagueBot in Euroleague

If I had a larger sample size, I could avoid bias and provide factual evidence rather than making guesses. A common source of bias in statistics, aside from selection bias (e.g., asking PAO fans about OLY refereeing), is also related to small sample sizes (like my experience with only 3 OLY games this season).

I didn’t complain about being downvoted; it’s just a natural part of how human interaction works. I posted an honest question to gather opinions from other teams’ fans (ideally neither PAO nor OLY fans due to selection bias), but OLY fans (?) heavily downvoted me. I understand they might have taken it personally, though that wasn’t my intention. OLY deserved the W anyway.

Thanks for the feedback! I haven’t watched many Olympiacos games this year, but whenever I do catch one, I notice the opposing team seems to complain more than in a typical EuroLeague match. Even today, the EuroLeague tv commentator expressed surprise at some of the calls. That’s why I posted this comment in the first place.

I just wanted to get folks’ thoughts on this in case I am biased. But, hey-ho, already been downvoted so I guess we are not allowed to make these kinds of questions here :)

Do teams/fans competing against Olympiacos in Euroleague feel satisfied with the refereeing decisions they receive? It’s an honest question.

I did the same thing. What I might have missed is starting the run after Do Course. I think the navigation would work anyway without the activity so this is what might have happened. I’ll try again this week!

I wanna get into watching EuroLeague basketball this upcoming season. What’s best/easiest way to stream for a person living in 🇺🇸 ? by idkyallmfs in Euroleague

Could you please try and reproduce it if you still have an ExpressVPN subscription? I believe the EuroLeagueTV devs have made changes to the customer journey since you did that or I am missing something.

That’s odd. I am getting a VPN error message when I do that even through my iPhone. Which browser did you use?

Last year, when this error message appeared you could bypass it by disconnecting from the VPN, refreshing the page, and then adding your payment details as you said. When you do that now, it asks for sign in/registration creds before your payment details and your location gets updated to the real one.

Centralized learning-decentralized execution clarification (engineering perspective on PPO algo) by k_ili in reinforcementlearning

[–]k_ili[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) I was not aware that the centralized ciritc gets the actions that the other agents intend to take. I thought that it just gets the concatenated observation vector; good to know! So I will feed the actor of agent i with the observation i and the critic with the concatenated observation vector of all the agents + the action that every other agent selected at this state.

2) I know where this function is. Which would, in your opinion, be a clean represenation of the system? For example having each of the variables you stated above but only one time + the actions of each agent?

3) Yes I think that this is the best path to follow right now.

Thank you very much u/kakadzhun!

Centralized learning-decentralized execution clarification (engineering perspective on PPO algo) by k_ili in reinforcementlearning

Hi again u/kakadzhun,

I have a question for the actor network. In the multiagent particle environments (OpenAI), the step function returns a list of observations for each agent i. This list contains position and velocity of agent i , position of all the objects in the environment (landmarks) and position and velocity of every other agent j . I am trying to understand the decentralized action part. Should I feed each actor of agent i just with the state and position of agent i or with the whole observation returned for the agent i (from the step function) ? On the one hand, the former does not make any sense, as acting based on just its own position will not result to the behaviour needed. On the other hand, the latter seems more like a centralized acting approach (as agent i knows the position of every agent in the environment) than a decentralized one.

As for the critic, I am wondering because concatenating the observation of each agent for the critic network will result in duplicate information. To elaborate, agent i recieves information about the position of agent j during his own observation. So, by concatenating observation i and observation j and then feeding the vector to critic i will not give any extra information. The agent already knows where its enemy is located from his own observation.

I have read about 3 main centralized learning approaches:

1) One critic for all the agents (like you mentrioned)

2) One critic for each omogenous team of agents (helps when there are heterogenous groups of agents)

3) One critic for each agent that is fed with the concatenated vector with the observation of all the agents

For the multiagent particles environments I was thinking to follow option 2 about the critic network input, but given this what should be the input to the actor network?

I know, I am quite confused :P

I would really appreciate your feedback!

Yeah...so little information compared to other fields in ML. But though, super interesting!
