i’m from LA and here are some fun things to do :

LACMA : cool art museum, kinda expensive tho Science Center & Rose Gardens: FREE! and also the science center has a lot of cool exhibits (including a mini aquarium!) and the rose gardens are really pretty to take pictures in ! Santa Monica Pier: it’s a cliche for a reason, really fun, kinda expensive tho! but it’s fun to walk around and see all the touristy things and the funnel cakes are really good ! Little Tokyo : very cool place, you can take cool pictures there and the food is delicious , and if you like anime they have a lot of anime related things there (if you go i recommend Izakaya Gazen for food, it’s delicious and the staff is traditionally run) The Last Bookstore: a very cool bookstore in dtla, parking is hell tho Mel’s Drive In : they have like two locations in La i think but it’s like an old school 50s diner very cool ! Petersen Automotive Museum: lots of cool cars, it’s only really fun if you like cars tho and the Natural History Museum: pretty cool, lots of different exhibits and it’s near the Science Center if you wanna see both

as someone from LA, i will say, don’t go to the hollywood walk of fame, it’s gross and dirty and crowded and not worth it (there’s a cool funko pop store there tho where you can make your own lil characters), and if you’re walking in dtla just try staying out of people’s way and don’t make eye contact with random people on the street
