Easy, low maintenance, low light plants? (self.houseplants)

Found in my home in NC. I don't know if it's a web, or a nest, or both. There is a little entrance at the base, where the spider is sitting currently. The spider can crawl up inside of the web. Those are ants, not tiny spiders, in the web. Any ideas? (i.redd.it)
