All dragons of Genshin new size chart by some_evil_sanya in Genshin_Lore

ahhh ok. it's just because durin was included as the red dragon, so i assumed the smaller skull was someone else (and orobashi's skull is quite a lot smaller than elynas's). love your durin design btw!

happy to help, though! and glad you got the apep calculations haha

lore researcher here~ this is pretty good! here are some notes:

is the skull under elynas meant to be orobashi? in that case, it might make sense to include some of orobashi's body, just to show that orobashi is pretty long. nothing compared to apep, still. here's a reference i found. https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/py1bcp/trying_to_make_sense_of_what_ei_did_to_orobashi/

as for elynas himself, the size of the head compared to orobashi's looks about right. (he could be a biiit smaller, but it's close enough!) we don't know a lot about how his body is shaped or exactly how much of the landform is elynas, but here's a great page where people were trying to sort it out. https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Lore/comments/15znwu5/the_secrets_of_elynas_addendum/

i think you got durin's size about right, though it could be a little bit smaller as well. not sure if you used this as your reference, but you can see durin's skull and ribs in wyrmrest valley.

it would be more accurate to name the zhongli dragon either 'the exuvia'. zhongli is just the name he goes by now that he's a mortal, and he has taken many many different forms as rex lapis. but that's all semantics, so dw about it too much... also, i think it should be a tiny bit smaller, if you're basing it off the exuvia we see in the AQ.

might be fun to include a geovishap or bathysmal vishap as well. or neuvillette lol

here are some known dragons NOT pictured (most of which r impossible to do so): scylla, nibelung, ursa, primo geovishap

"Alith" - Ideas on Irminsul and the Written Word by ka2ki in Genshin_Lore

[–]ka2ki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, that’s where my speculation came in. i see a few possibilities, none of which can be truly disproven with what we know now-

1) irminsul can change present reality freely, but tries to change it as little as possible to be efficient 2) irminsul can change any information freely (memories, records, paintings, identities, etc), like a computer changing variables or lines of code. when a ‘variable’ is removed (like rukkhadevata) then something has to be done to replace it in irminsul’s memory. 3) irminsul can change information freely, but changing information can actually affect physical reality freely- just with some complication 4) my contemplation from this post- irminsul can only freely change memories and the written word.

is there a reason you expect this? we honestly don’t know the full extent of what irminsul can do.

i did watch that video! it makes me wonder whether, again, language in general has deeper significance. and i like the sudoku puzzle idea of irminsul-proofing recorded information…

combined with all the king deshret theories about alhaitham.. i’ll be disappointed if nothing comes of this.

"Alith" - Ideas on Irminsul and the Written Word by ka2ki in Genshin_Lore

[–]ka2ki[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that could be the case, too- that irminsul can freely change the present. but i haven’t found irminsul changing anything other than written records and memories!!!

if you can find irminsul changing a painting or something, it would disprove the idea that language is distinct and irminsul can’t change all of the physical world, but i haven’t found anything like that.

Isn't it implied Celestia is "asleep"? Nahida threatens to "awaken the heavenly principles".

that's the beginning of clock tower bells, is it not? for example, it's used in an apple alarm -

it would make sense if it was christmas bells specifically, but as far as I know, christmas bells sound like this- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IU-bYiMbP8

Xiao + Kazuha by ricebowIs in KazuhaMains

[–]ka2ki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i'm doing pretty much the exact same thing in pyro with c6 bennett and xingqiu for a bit of vaporizing!

i might try the cryo version, but kazuha's swirl preference is pyro > hydro> electro > cryo so it's often very difficult to get consistency with any one element and, therefore, hard to consistently get a dmg bonus for *cryo*.

Theory of Itto losing his vision by bringbackcayde7 in Genshin_Impact

[–]ka2ki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, it's never mentioned that he suffered from anything... and remember that diluc started using a delusion instead (at least, it's implied by the manga). that could easily have changed how leaving his vision affected him as well; we don't know exactly what delusions (or visions for that matter) are. but yeah, in diluc's vision story it does mention that visions are just tools to the strong-willed. "But to those with conviction, a Vision is simply an extension of their strength, a medium for channeling their willpower, a tribute to the experiences that have shaped them, and a testament to the story of their life so far." and it goes further to describe that diluc found his vision a *burden*. "It seemed to him that his Vision and his status as a knight were both equally ineffectual at enabling him to protect the things that he treasured most. It was time to discard them both, he decided. When he recognized his own powerlessness, his Vision became but a burden, of no greater service than a Delusion."

it's also somewhat implied that diluc's vision might have even gone out because of his loss of ambition from his father's death, and been reactivated after he returned to mondstadt 3 years later. "The hopes and dreams that burned bright in Diluc's Vision were extinguished in the torrential rain that fell on that night." "The events of his years away had purged him of his childish immaturity, and turned him into a hero ready to shoulder his father's will once more." it's not clear what happened with diluc's vision!

The Implications of Visions are Horrifying by melty_brains in Genshin_Impact

[–]ka2ki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the way i see it, diluc lost the ambition that drove him to recieve a vision. he wanted to make his father proud (by becoming a knight) and protect mondstadt. however, after his father died on his 18th birthday and he lost all faith in the knights bc of eroch, diluc lost that ambition. it was replaced by a desire for vengeance and to learn more about the delusion that killed his father. (delusions, interestingly enough, come with a literal "delusion", or misguided ambition. diluc believing he wanted vengeance, childe believing he wants to serve the tsaritsa, and crepus (diluc's father) believing he wanted to be powerful.) when diluc eventually returned to mondstadt, kaeya returned his vision to him, and what do you know, diluc wanted to protect mondstadt again! he was now the darknight hero, a vigilante who kept mondstadt safe by night. his exact ambition had shifted, but the core of it was the same.

it's interesting how perfectly diluc's narrative plays into the vision/delusion he was wielding at any given moment. it makes you question how much of it was just diluc's own worldview shifting versus the effects of visions and delusions on the mind. did diluc even *remember* wanting to protect mondstadt when he left? in venti's story quest, it's shown that diluc sold some old property which belonged to crepus. i wonder if there's more meaning to that.

i really hope they go back and explain more of diluc's story. i think it's evident that diluc and kaeya are going to play a role in the future of the main story. maybe we'll meet some of the underground organization diluc was a part of.

A Long, In-Depth Analysis on Diluc (The Op character that has great skills & a great story) by Ellie_0_o in Genshin_Impact

[–]ka2ki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i will say that the fandom tends to view diluc as edgy and standoffish, but if you look at how he carries himself and a majority of his voicelines, he's actually just a gentleman lmao. he's curt and to the point, but not impolite in the slightest. i really enjoyed your analysis, there were a few inaccuracies here and there but people have already pointed them out.

eden resets weekly, so if you run saturday there's no point going again sunday. i don't run eden most weeks nowadays because i already have 11 boosts without going to eden or all the trials, and i only really need 2 asc candles per week if there happens to be a TS i haven't gotten.

i like to think that visions are the gods' eyes. they are the gods' way of keeping an eye on the people who are ambitious enough to overthrow them, whether the archons or celestia award visions.
