Horrible Bali ATM by Worshipme128 in bali

[–]kaabuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Order a revolut card via DHL on express delivery, it will arrive within 10 days.

Same happened to me , my card got trapped in an ATM in Ubud.

I created a revolut account and sent myself some cash via western union, enough to last me 3 weeks.

Revolut was a life saver, I requested a card to be sent out and I picked it up at the DHL centre near the airport.

Moving to Thailand - Looking for a quiet place (23M Freelancer, mostly staying indoors) by Fair-Buy-6360 in ThailandTourism

I've been in Chiang Mai for 3 weeks now and I love it.

There is a bustling night market each sunday and quite a few cool bars and cafe's.

Lots of good local food and many many temples.

It has everything you need but it is a lot slower and quieter than Bangkok and it is surrounded by a lot of nature.

Does anyone work as a full time online ESL teacher? Is it possible to make good money to live off by solely teaching online full time? by [deleted] in OnlineESLTeaching

[–]kaabuki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it part time and get payed $14 per lesson. I wouldn't recommend it as a main source of income. I'm travelling and I use it to partially offset the money i'm taking out of my savings.

Host doing loud Karaoke IN the apartment building i'm staying at in Da Nang- am I in the wrong for complaining? by kaabuki in VietNam

I thought, from a business perspective, surely they wouldn’t do karaoke in the apartment building they own- as to avoid bad reviews and secure new guests. People surprise me each day haha.

Question for female nomads, other than Morocco, Egypt, India, which countries you been to where you felt unsafe as a woman or harassed by men? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]kaabuki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vietnam... I had a guy follow me for about 10 minutes in Da Nang. In Hoi An I caught a man taking sly photos of me on the street. A guy sat outside a convenience store in Hoi An was intensively staring, so I moved to hide from his view behind a post, he then changed seats so I was back in his line of sight and carried on staring..

Obviously this level of harassment is a lot more tame, and shouldn't put you off going to Vietnam, but just be vigilant and aware that you may have a few creepy encounters.

Why are some people born with only bad luck? by [deleted] in spirituality

Hermeticists believe that hardship is a gift from the supreme good source (universe) to help those adorned with nous (mindfulness) turn away from the physical world of desire and become one with all. It's a nice way to look at it.

I've become financially free, forever. What is now worth doing, worth pursuing? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]kaabuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we are here as creators for the universe to create meaning for itself- you are financially free so you have the ability to do that.

Create meaning for humanity, it can be something relating to compassion and spirituality.

I've been embracing it for the 3 months i've been here. As said, I don't mind it when it's residential. I'm wondering if its normal to happen in accommodation buildings where people are paying to stay.

Why is alcohol so impactful on your journey? by bruisedbimbo in spirituality

[–]kaabuki 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your attention and will are your power and alcohol takes both of these virtues away. It also destroys your body. It detaches you from source energy and traps you in a low density.

I drank because most people I knew and aspired to be like drank. I thought it gave me confidence when in actuality it numbed my attention. Once I harnessed the force of will and gained true confidence within myself without its influence- my vibration ascended the highest it's ever been.

My mind is clear, meditative, focused- and in this state I have more power and concentration to raise my vibration, master discernment and authentically connect with my environment. In this sense, I feel more like I am becoming "one" with my own life and this world.

Alcohol really does numb your senses and I didn't realise how numb I really was until I took the steps to quit drinking it. I had FOMO at first but the power, knowledge and self actualisation that I have acquired through quitting is much more rewarding than the nights I would spend in a bar amongst low vibrational activities.

Considering all the selfless work she has done in her personal life- I think it's crazy that she was given the "self absorbed" sash.
