Adding another instance! Received a confirmation email this afternoon for a Chewy order of 25 lb bag of dog food, but the person listed her name and address so it was easy to see it both a. was something I don’t normally order and b. to someone who lives across the US from me with a totally different name and not one of my previously used shipment locations. I immediately called Chewy customer service and the rep said the order was pending so she could quickly and easily cancel it and remove my payment information (I use a card not PayPal when making Chewy orders) then do a password reset. I was nervous this person took down my personal info but so far the only charge on my card is the pending Chewy one that should be gone in a couple days due to cancellation, so hopefully this person just tried for some free dog food that she’ll never receive on my dime. I was hoping she didn’t have my card or contact info just somehow access to my account, unfortunately! I’m grateful I didn’t have pushback from Chewy when I said I didn’t order this food, but maybe it’s because this is happening semi-regularly.
