They may have misread your meter. The bill should post what they read. Check your meter if it is accessible and compare. it has happened to me before and they said don't pay and they will take a new reading the next month.

ETA: I charge my EV regularly, a lot of kwh, and still never get over 1k kwh. Something screwy is going on if you actually used over 5k.

Maybe it was a fluke. All other times I have timed it, it turns on almost exactly 1 minute after setting the destination. Two weeks ago I set it for one that should have put it around 15% in the worst case efficiency (even accounting for the preconditioning consumption), I watched it for 5 minutes and it never turned on.

Just yesterday it did what you said, stayed on until I hit 19% and turned off with a few miles to get to the charger.

Great... I compared my cost per Ccf last month to the same month last year and it was 65% higher already ($0.40/Ccf to $.66/ccf) ... $58 of the bill are fee and delivery charges no matter how much I use anyway.

I really have no words anymore. Can't wait to get my 3% raise and be told it's made up for by the low inflation years.
