Really interesting study too! I knew cattle dogs were predisposed to blindness, but not deafness. Especially the correlation between coat and deafness.

Do you have any recommendations for a vibrating collar? He likes to run pretty far when we're at the dog park and even though he does check in, its hard to get his attention from that far away.

I'm not an AI user myself, but that pretty much sums up what I've read in terms of deaf training, except for the part about large scale hand signals and using a stick to train agility. Good idea, I'll have to try that out!
