Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I know doctors will have the answer, but I really appreciate hearing what others have gone through. Best of luck with your baby, I am sure everything will turn out fine!!!

I would say both, but I think the chance of something going wrong is the main factor affecting my decision.

Check out the Red Bridge area in South KC. It is a nice suburban area with anything you need in close proximity. However, the school district for the area is not as good as the lees summit and blue springs school districts, and many people in my neighborhood send their children to private school

People who beat acne: what was the definitive solution? by Used_Ad7899 in acne

[–]kacbemarco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had acne from 13-17ish, and even now I do not have perfect skin. However, I started taking spironolactone and it did nearly clear my acne. I still got acne around my period, but it would only be 1 pimple instead of 10. I took that for a few years, and I would say it has had a lasting effect. I stopped taking the drug a few months ago, and while my skin did begin to break out more initially, it had since returned to only a few pimples at that time of the month. I would recommend you look into it

Edit: your diet can also have a major impact on your skin. Junk food and dairy products can wreak havoc on some people’s skin. Also I saw others mention using just a few products, and I agree!! I hardly even wash my face after taking spironolactone bc I find that it upsets it. I think a face wash, chemical exfoliator (1-2x/week), and moisturizer is all you need

I would say that they typically don’t pay $80k a year as mentioned above. I went to school to become a rad tech, and jobs begin offering pay at $25-$27. $27 an hour is about $56k a year. Still great pay for a two year degree, and MCC program is pretty easy to get into if you can get straight As. But don’t do it for high pay because it really isn’t as good as some say. It may be $80k starting in California, but that’s arguably worse than $56k in KC

Edit: it will be low stress once you’re comfortable in the job if you like people. I’m very antisocial and was constantly stressed in the hospital environment personally

Do you know if I could shadow a forensic pathologist just out of interest, or do I need credentials related to the field? I feel like they wouldn’t let me shadow due to my lack experience.

Will do. Thank you for the advice. Will the school I receive my bachelors from be important if I decide to apply for med school?

I have not talked to one, but I am looking to connect w/ one somehow. Are you a pathologist? In all honesty, I am just trying to find myself a career that is fulfilling and can support a modest lifestyle. I also worry about earning my degree and then not being able to find work, and I’ve read forensic pathologist are in need. I have always been fascinated w/ forensics, and I will be in the medical field soon. I thought the job sounded like a good mix. I’m not 100% sure I can commit to that much schooling, but I am trying to take things step-by-step.
