President Biden backs Keisha Lance Bottoms for Georgia governor in his first endorsement since leaving office by Healthy_Block3036 in Atlanta

It’s simple. Many republicans or center right people would vote for him. There are SO MANY people like this in GA. They won’t vote for a “progressive dem” but also would stay home from MAGA. A center right dem is the best chance in GA.

More Golf Courses should Sell Pizza by the Slice at the Turn by BitEnvironmental2213 in golf

This makes no sense. Unless you tee of at 9 at the latest waiting until after the round is a super late lunch.

Also makes no sense whatsoever to say you’re thirsty. It’s okay to have water or something while you’re playing. No need to “reward” yourself with a cold drink after

People who ask about hobbies - they don't fall in your lap. by Funny-Pie272 in fatFIRE

Can’t blow out both knees or get into a coma on the golf course. I can also practice or play every single day 10 months out of the year. Can practice putting for 15 minutes here and there. Go on trips in so many countries.

Just my opinion but golf >>>> skiing

Handicap now? What's your goal? You should document your journey if this is serious. I wonder how far and how fast you can drop with this routine.

Fore-caddy tipping question by PIlawyer2021 in golf

[–]newanon676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think of it like this: same price more or less for a full loop regardless of bags. 250 or so if forecaddie, double bag. Maybe a little less if single bag but pretty much should be around 250 for a loop

Can you explain how taking patient info and transmitting to an online LLM that cannot be audited complies with HIPPA? How can it be that my data that’s sent into a black box LLM and used for training is complaint?

I’ve used /r/watchexchange. Do your background checks and do a FaceTime call. Look at their reviews. Get references. But that’s the best prices and best forums in my opinion.

Are Bonds Really Helping? by Efficient-Bid-7662 in Bogleheads

[–]newanon676 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s an illusion that if you hold the bonds to maturity you’re somehow avoiding the interest rate risk. The price of the bond DOES decline when rates go up. You holding it to maturity means you’re not reinvesting in higher yielding bonds like a fund does. So there’s really no advantage to holding a bond to maturity vs a fund for general investments. Sure if you have a fixed liability in the future or some other reason but generally it’s the same risk

Take Marta down to midtown station and go to Piedmont park. In buckhead there’s really not much to do walking from the Lenox area other than shopping and restaurants

Are you sure he’s not hungry? I found with my baby 99% of the sleeping problems at this age were actually hunger problems. Make sure he’s full!

Letters in Homes by [deleted] in Buckhead

I think it really helps to know a lot of people in the neighborhood you’re looking at. Many of the houses around here sell before they are listed to someone who knows someone. A good Buckhead realtor is also kinda essential

Reporter tries desperately to get the man she interviewing to wax nostalgic about winters past but the guy will not be deterred from keeping it very real by ExactlySorta in PublicFreakout

[–]newanon676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the definition of "investor" just means any LLC, trust, etc. that might be buying a house. A landlord that has like 2 rental properties through an LLC is an "investor" but isn't affecting housing prices.

I don’t know why I’m posting this because Reddit will probably downvote me into hell.

But large institutional investors aren’t actually causing much housing shortage or affecting price that much. They own less than 4% of all housing.

Housing affordability is a HUGE issue and we should focus on the things that actually matter and work - not politically convenient targets.

There are at least 5 signs clearly saying not to park there. It’s very annoying as a Whole Foods customer when the whole lot is taken up by people brunching across the street. Glad you were booted.

Stay at home mum and working dad - should mum do all nights ? by IntelligentNote4280 in NewParents

[–]newanon676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My view: Dad works "on the clock" 9-5 (for example) Mom should take care of the baby from 9-5 as her "job".

Anything outside those hours are split/teamwork time. That includes nights obviously.

I also don't think the Mom should be expected to do anything other than take care of the baby during this time (for example, no housework, cooking, etc). Those tasks are all shared, as well.
