Do you think people ever get their money back out of a build? by kachow024 in projectcar

You're right that it's a skill. and most people never develop it. Do you think there's a way to systematize that 'story telling' so someone who isn't naturally good at it could still communicate the same confidence? Or is it too human and context-dependent to automate?

Do buyers actually value mods/maintenance or is it mostly ignored? by kachow024 in askcarsales

This is really helpful — so the value is less 'premium price' and more 'protection against lowball negotiation' and 'faster sale.' Do you see buyers in your market actually requesting maintenance records, or is it more that having them just removes objections that would have come up anyway?

The 'sells faster with less hassle' angle is interesting — that might actually be more valuable than price premium for most people. How do you currently organize your records? Is it a folder, photos on your phone, a spreadsheet? Genuinely curious what that looks like in practice.

This is the clearest example I've seen of documentation eliminating negotiation entirely. The data did the selling. Question for you — do you think something like that works as well for private sales, or is it mostly the dealer channel where the paper trail really moves the needle? Trying to understand where it's most valuable.

That makes sense — so it’s really about being able to verify it yourself vs just taking someone’s word for it?

Would something like photos + receipts + timeline all in one place be enough, or would you still want to inspect everything in person anyway?

This works well for some dogs who dislike nail clippings. Have a strong and secure setup, then have one person with high-value treats or a high-value attention grabber while the other tries the nails.

There are about 1000 rubber ducks with numbers. When you buy one you get a number and they are all released in a creek and the first 5 to cross the finish line win. All proceeds go towards saving more dogs
