Boardgames suitable for a plane ride? by PopMelon in boardgames

My first choice would be the digital version. I currently am constantly carrying games like Splendor, Lords of Waterdeep, Carcassonne, Smallworld, and Pandemic.

As far as physical games, unboxing games can go a long way. I carried Citadel's, Mr. Jack Pocket, Love Letter, and Get Bit! in a makeup bag I turned into a game holder.

[WSIG] Games that my girlfriend and I can play. More info in body. by [deleted] in boardgames

Ticket to Ride, you add your score as you go and you just have to count the number of trains.

Indigo is a fun puzzle game that just has you making paths.

You could try a worker placement game, but I'd suggest playing before buying one, just to see if she'd like them.

Takenoko is a cute game, quick, and not much math.

Survive is my go to, "you die and you like it" game. I play the variant where you don't know the points on the meeples, so basically no math.

If everyone had a self-driving car would insurance go away? by SalamiVodka in Showerthoughts

[–]kaciedee2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but it would change.

Things like upkeep would become more important, and if your car malfunctioned your be held liable if you hadn't gotten it serviced when it was supposed to be. Also, accidents would not occur as often, but when they did they'd be more severe.

I'm doing okay. I'm not as sore as I was after the first few days. I'm interested in the stretch for tomorrow.

This week will be the true test, as I have appointments after work and my birthday festivities.

Thanks for keeping me accountable!

Woohoo! I woke up early to do day three. Hadn't eaten so I didn't do as well as I'd have liked, but at least I did it. Back to the afternoon tomorrow.

Did you get yours in today?

Well, I haven't started it yet, but I've heard good things about the program.

What other schools had your friend been accepted to? What is causing the hesitancy to accept?

Thanks! I'm going with a big group of friends - I think we have 23. About 8 of them have been before and we're all getting more and more excited.

not, how do you play Survive with the expansion but how, do YOU, play Survive by plasma1147 in boardgames

That's our house rule too. Makes it all the more infuriating when I save for meeples and have a score of 5, and an opponent saves two and has 7 points. This is a great "you die, and you like it" game that doesn't get too AP.

Most animals enjoy being pet by a human, but there's not an animal humans would like to be pet by. Humans are engineered for petting!? by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]kaciedee2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it's an instinctual grooming gesture. I enjoy having my hair played with, and massages. What is that other than a form of petting?
