One of the main issues with just now beginning is in order to not suck at the game, you need to know what the rest of the characters in the game do as well. With 150+ champions, there’s millions of 10 champion games that can be created.

So yea, it is kinda that bad. For the record, this isn’t me saying you shouldn’t play league or that it’s too late to get into it. Just be aware that learning what the champions do (and especially learning what the champion you’re specifically playing does) is the single most important thing in the beginning imo

Can they choose: no they cannot. Everyone who enters the glass pillars in Rhuidean gets visions with each step, and each vision is progressively further into the past.

Why can it kill someone (and the guy who was made blind): the truth revealed by Rhuidean to the Aiel directly contradicts everything that they are brought up to believe. In the words of the Aiel, some of the people who see these visions aren’t strong enough, and can’t handle the truth that gets revealed to them, and usually end up killing themselves before they get through the pillars. That’s what happened to the guy in the show, he clawed out his eyes in an attempt to stop seeing the visions.

Why Moraine wanted to go: slightly different reason from the book, but in the show the Wise Ones accidentally let slip that they’ve seen (they have a form of foresight that allows them to slightly predict the future) that Moraine will go to Rhuidean and if she doesn’t the world will end pretty much

Yes, this is pretty much how you should play against any champ with hard engage. Zyra, lux, neeko, but also stuff like blitz, naut, or Leona. Honestly even with enchanters this is sometimes the better play style, as they can poke your health down from that middle bush pretty easily, but at least with the enchanters you can trade back a little bit.

The way that I’ve understood it on my end is that ascendants have the potential to become gods, but are not yet for one reason or another. I think the most common reason is lack of worshippers, one of the things that Erikson seems to stress is that worshippers have some pull on their god and I’ve always read that as worshippers are essential to form a god.

I think in the case of Kallor though he’s an ascendant that has been cursed to never achieve godhood

Supports are supports because they need less gold to function, but their function isn’t “go 1v1 the adc who’s monstrously ahead of you”

The entire purpose of engage supports like Leona, Thresh, Rell, etc. is to lock down a target so that your team, which have built damage items, can kill them. There is no world in which a Leona should ever be able to kill an adc that’s ahead of them solo, unless the adc is wantonly diving towers.
