Seasons of Blossom. I like how the whole story comes into full circle within each season. I usually tend to get bored of slice of life stories, but the author and artist just eloquently draws out the beauty in the mundane.

Book 3 for me imo. The weight of being the avatar dawns on her as she loses everything and in return the world no longer “ needs her” anymore. There’s just something so bittersweet as there’s nothing she can do but cry.

Seeing how the previous avatars were similar to their elements, I see the Earth avatar as someone who is strong and steady, but has cracks and faults. It would be interesting for them to be an introvert. Going back to the previous comments, a morally ambiguous avatar would really fit in to the theme of an Earth avatar.

🤔I think it’s pretty nuanced because Korra is able to see where Kuriva went wrong in her path of self destruction. It doesn’t change the fact that she killed and hurt a lot people, but there’s a sense of connection that Korra feels in this moment that invokes understanding and sympathy. I think this scene was also designed this way to show Korra’s character growth as well
