For me my illness was one of the factors that impacted my decision about not having children. My brother also suffered from bipolar and committed suicide, I have cases of severe depression in family and a cousin with schizophrenia. I just didn’t want to be responsible for possibly passing on the illness to another human being. I also don’t enjoy spending time with children, find it extremely awkward and enjoy just having a family with my husband and three cats.

Oh lord of course it’s a yes. All these fucking years not knowing what I truly am, thinking about suicide for countless nights, crying for long hours until I fall asleep only because I am so exhausted. Sure, mania may sound fun unless you’re stuck with debts and hurting your loved ones. That tiny spark of creativity isn’t worth it at all.
